For those who love PotO, or know every lyric, or are afraid to walk under chandeliers, or believe in opera ghosts, or, most especially, own a phantom mask :D I'm thinking more the stage production but the movie's okay too, I guess. I'm not a phan.

Anyone catch the 25th anniversary on Netflix, where at the end the talented, wonderful, amazing Michael Crawford flew in from the US and sang ONE WORD ONLY?

Wow this group is pretty big! It makes me so happy that the Phan Phamily is this amazing XD I always get weird looks for not being obsessed with something "mainstream" The bigger a Phan community at a site, the happier I am :)

Now to share my phantom story with my fellow nerdfighters :)
I've been a phantom fan since forever. I think I really got super obsessed after I saw the musical for my birthday when John Cudia was the phantom. He is absolutely amazing. I wish I had the chance of seeing him again but sadly he stepped down from the role :(
I think I was pretty fond of the story since my mom read the Leroux novel to me as a bed time story one week a billion years ago (I know right? Totally normal selection of books to read to children. A deformed genius psychopathic man living under the opera house, yearning for a Swedish blond soprano that's like twenty years younger than him is totally what you should put in your young daughter's dreams.)
Besides being a phantom phreak for the longest time ever, my friend and I joke about how I should teach "Erikology" at a school or something. I said that that wouldn't work since my lectures would be two hours long for the entire year and my final would make your eyes bleed from stu-dying (intentional dash) all the things I would blab about. Yup. Pretty much.
And I was fortunate enough to go see Phantom again this year during my spring break. I was crying tears of pure happiness by the time Hugh Panaro sang "Christine I love you!" In the final lair scene. The people around me looked pretty concerned when I did that. I think I might have been silently bawling :/
After I faced a crazy mob waiting for Sigourney Weaver, who was doing a show that shared a stage door with Phantom, I got to meet the Christine :) I was surprised to see that (I'm sorry Samatha Hill :/) she was really tiny. I didn't notice that until I stood right next to her! She had such a big stage presence! I waited a little longer to see Carlotta, who signed my whole front page of my playbill in bright red sharpie. I was also really lucky enough to catch Hugh Panaro. No one was there except me and this other girl. Though I didn't get that much time to talk to him since he was in a hurry, I managed to made a big fool of myself by screaming a bunch of things like "OH MY GOSH YOU'RE SO AMAZING!! BAAAAAHHHH I CAN'T BELIEVE IM HERE MEETING YOU!! OMG OMG!!" while he signed my shirt.

Whoa.. I think that's super long... Yup. It is. I'll shut up now since I'm probably taking up most of the comment section :/ I would love to meet Nerdfighter Phans XD (sorry if this comment is on here twice... I accidentally added the comment before I finished...

Every time i watch Phantom of the Opera i almost cry at the end because me being the hopeless romantic i am, i want Christine to be with the Phantom! I keep hoping that by the end of every time i re-watch it the ending will be different and they will be together but alas tis not so, so I like hold a personal vendetta against Raoul for taking her :(
