I'm posting this here because many of you are hard headed and unwilling to change your pont of view. that may sound insulting but I dont mean it as such. If this works, with your help, some of you may have to change your point of view. I am asking you all to help me find the answers to EVERY THING. but to first focus on these 3 things.

1.) How many things define us as people and what are they?

2.) Is Globle peace posable in this world or ever? How can we get there?

3.) Can you prove that the universe is infact NOT static?(i could not, and feel that it is static. prove me wrong?)

i need people that wont change unless they have to.

1.) I would like a clearer definition of this one. A lot of the "things" that define us I would claim as continuous, ambiguous, or loosely defined, and it would be difficult to distinguish where one "thing" ends and another begins.

2.) Absolute global peace is definitely achievable on a national level but is not desirable. It would create a 1984 / Farenheit 451 / Brave New World /dystopian situation. Look at Iraq before Saddam Hussein was removed for a real world example.

The ability to exercise force is a necessary requirement for true freedom and peace. Remember the Thomas Jefferson quote:
"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion.
The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is
wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts
they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions,
it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ...
And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not
warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of
resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as
to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost
in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from
time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
It is its natural manure."

The best solution is having decentralized governments focused entirely on maintaining a small set of basic rights, including rights to property, freedom of speech, and the right to life.

3.) I don't know what you mean by static here. Can you provide a reference or definition?
If you mean that it is completely unchanging, then that is easily proved wrong by your posting this question.
If you mean that the Universe will last forever in roughly its present state, then I would point out the laws of entropy.
If you mean that the Universe will cycle between big bangs, expansion, and contraction, then I would point out that the Universe is actually accelerating its expansion, as far as we can observe.
If you mean that the Universe will not eventually be annihilated and recreated in a perfect state, as some Christians believe, I would disagree but think that that is distracting from your question.

1. i guess what im asking is why are we defrent? hat make us act like we do? it has to be more than "we are born that way" because we arn't or no one would change.

2. another wise man said "War? What dose man have the right to war? To defend himself and his family he can fight. but a whole nother country wants him and his family dead? Is there any country so big that every one there knows him?, and they all want him dead? You kill a man you lose respect for all life. You die and your sons fight to avenge you. Revenge breads hate and anger, they bread racism. Racism fules war. War kills sons and fathers. It only ends when you can't fight. be no amo, or genocide. I'll naver fight another war." (i do feel that peace is not posable, people are too foolish to keep it.)

3.I mean it 2 ways. That it is going to last for ever, and that it isnt expanding or retracting as Hubble thought. try to debate these sepretly.
the thery of over expantion will make the everything dissipate and every thing will be gone.
this retraction thery ends everything with a big crunch.
The 3rd is that the galaxys are all spining around something and SEEM as if to be moving away(the thinking is that everything could only end if every thing was swolowed by a black hole) it alsow explains why the rate of expantion is faster than befor. can you disprove this?

1.) I think that a large portion of our personality is genetic and that we will eventually discover how correlations between behavior and genetics. I also think that there are parts of our personality that we will never understand. Identical twins have very similar personalities, but it is not clear to me if that is because they have the same DNA or because they were originally part of the same zygote. I favor the DNA explanation.

2.) I largely agree. Any disagreement would be based on the type of foolishness and where it is at.

3.) I don't understand these arguments very well. My understanding of the Hubble red-shift analysis is very weak and you are the first person I have met do disagree with it. I really don't understand how a spinning galaxies theory would explain the apparent acceleration of expansion we see. I see no reason to believe that the universe is not expanding or is actually contracting.

If we just look at life on Earth, there are a ton of "End of the World" scenarios with various likelihoods and time-frames. I would not be surprised if there were multiple potential catastrophes at a universe level as well.

1.)i know for a fact that part of it is genetics, as myself and others i know have perents that we have never met, yet parts of our personality are semiler, but i disagre, i know many twins that differ in personalities and act in diffrent ways(they do have similar traits tho as you said) ill come out and say my point of view here so people can better understand what im asking

who we are is made up of the people we are around. the enverment in withch we grew.(if you grew up around spiders you most likely won't fear them) and (in some ways) our familys.

3.)I'm not the first(this is infact not my idea at all). Einstein said that the universe is static befor Hubble. As in non retracting or expanding. i dont know much of Hubbles idea nor what he saw. Basid on his work came the now acsepted idea that the universe is expanding, and that some day it will colapse in on it's self.

the only debate that i know of is that if it dosn't retract in on its self it will expand on for forever also destroing everything. (some people also think of it like an accordian. expanding to a point then retracting to a point, then expanding again)

the idea of hubble being wrong explains the distance growing as if the galaxies were planets orbiting a sun in defrent diractions.

1.) Your argument for personality being inherited through genetics is a weak one. It is based on correlation and I do not trust that you can claim to know it as fact.

I have met quite a few identical twins. They have all had minor differences in personality but the same personality type. I have yet to find an exceptions. This is a correlation as well, but I won't claim it as fact.

3.) Can you find a link to the Einstein quotes on this?
If we really were just having different orbits around a central body, then we would see variations in speed and a parallax effect. I'm not sure if our sensors can detect those anomalies, but I wouldn't be surprised, especially since they can show that the rate of expansion is increasing.

your right, i should say "i acsept it as fact." the reson i do is i dont know anyone that dose what i do, acsept for my birth father, whom i have never met, and my friends are alike with there respcteve resonings.

3.) no i can not(dont have one). i thought this made sence long befor I knew Einstein said it. when i found out the text said that this was his view befor Hubble. something about Einstein having a lack of tec.(I lost it or id have said something better)

1.) an infinite number of things define us as people and what they are. primarily because the world is made up of opinions. the definitions of the word 'person' changes, like you could say a person is anything with human DNA, or a person is someone who lives, breathes, laughs, and moves. But If you think that way someone in a coma would not be a human anymore, leading you to question what they are. and you also have to define what defines them. There was another discusion on here
this is the link

http://nerdfighters.ning.com/forum/topics/humans-can-never-be-pure?...;

the begining especially, talks about how the world is made up of opinions and how almost nothing can be fact because of it.

2.) If global peace is possible it's happening very slowly. maybe by learning from other people and our mistakes and evolving we will eventually as a people and as a society become "perfect". but as long as nature and people keep changing evolution won't stop (that is if you believe in evolution.) that will never happen.

3.)I honestly don't know how i would prove it.

my question was along the lines of why do we chose what we do or think how we do. i know for a fact that some of our personality is genatic. (not to belittle any one for there thoughts, but fact is truth, and regardless of what we think or feel or beleve to be true, fact is fact)

i dont not beleve in evolution, but thats also another debate. people can adapt thouh, and how can peace, if posable come about? any thoughts as to how?

thanks for the post, do post again.
