In Karmic balance to things that make you say Phhhht, I wanted a discussion for happier things. Like "ahh, I'm home with my family now". Or "ahh, a nice person at the grocery store offered me a sample of some pears yesterday, and they were really good.". Not that there is anything wrong with venting about loopy bagging practices. I just want to spend some brain power on happy things too. So what is going well for you all?

BTW, I asked my husband how long he thinks it takes to get there and he thought 20 minutes might be more accurate.

Wouldn't want to misrepresent.

We live on a migratory path for Canadian Geese. They congregate by the hundreds on the two manmade lakes that our neighbourhood is built around (huh, is manmade not a proper compound word? spell check is telling me it isn't?). Every morning they fly away to the fields just outside of the city to eat, hang out etc. They are really pretty horrid little beasties...loud, prolifically poopy and mean (can't let your kids or doggies near them), but they sure are picturesque.

The last couple of mornings they have been taking flight as I drive the boys to school. It is full moon, so we get the pale, chilly morning sky, glossy shreds of cloud catching sun like water, the pearly orb of full moon and geese by the hundreds, in black V's flying low and swift across it all. Definitely makes me say "ahhhhhhhh".

I keep meaning to bring my camera but then forgetting. Maybe tomorrow. I wish I had Mel or LAly here with their skillz to capture it.

Oh my god. No need to bring the camera. WHAT a description. Beautiful. I love those loud geese. I miss that sound. Loved it when I lived in the New Jersey wetlands and heard those guys honking overhead. The best sound in the world, imo. Train whistles and fog horns next.

Right there with you. Denver must be on a similar migratory path. Every now and then, I will be outside at dusk, and they come flying low from one field/lake/pond/golf course/pooping place to the next, and I hear them. Honk, Honk, Honk! and I don't know where they are. Then all the sudden I see a whole huge V of them just over the treetops, and you can hear the wind in their feathers. Then the are all gone except the honking. woosh!
