One of my regular weekly websites, Evil Mad Scientist , has a cool item this week: a bulbdial clock. sort of like a sundial, but light bulbs cast shadows. Definitely cool. at least in my opinion :-)

All this talk about school,classes and papers.... totally miss it. I've been out for 4 years however, in another life I would be a full time history student!

And Hank in the dress is too funny. I just watched the movie from which the dress and the bird headdress was stolen, I'm so glad I didn't pay to see it at the movies. It was cute, kinda liked it, but it was also kinda silly. Seriously, they made Charlotte poop her pants on vacation? Seriously. And the bird headdress thing, what the heck was carrie thinking? Anyway, glad she and Big patched things up. Ruh-Roh, forgot to do spoiler alert...... :)

so yes, hanks picture has been making me laugh the entire time i have been reading these pages = a long time. OMG. HI.LARIOUS. so brilliant. gawd i've missed nerdfighteria; the gerds in particular, but just the wonder of the nerds in general is so great. sigh... like an old home, yes indeedee...

vt! i hear you re: needing to take a class and get a handle on some of this coding backend crapppp... thanks for the recommendation NG! Any courses you have taken and really liked must be great, so I may look into the one below you suggested. it's probably $762 canadian for the canucks on here, with the international student fees, exchange rate etc. note to self: must check it out.

so. the scoop. i'm heading back to 'how you doin'' to update etc., then to Check this out! to, well, check it out. and then i'm going to finish putting up the shelves in my office. procratinators FTW!

I would highly recommend the XHTML/CSS class I took through Cerro Coso College online - that is the best class I've had through their web design academy. I knew some HTML too, but I learned how to do it RIGHT, with current code and standards - also, the accessibility/usability class was good - but most of what I got out of it I got from pretty much reading the entire webaim.org website!

Anyway, if you are interested, it's very inexpensive, because it's a community college - only $20/unit (at least for California residents - I'm not sure if there is a differences in out of state tuition, especially since they are online classes!). Here's the website: http://academy-webdesign.com/

VT - you are already awesome, so with these classes, you'd be formidable!

LAly - I do enjoy it - I just got so flummoxed by having the rest of my life need so much of my time that I was thinking of dropping.

I see myself signing up for some heavy duty web classes some day soon. I'm afraid I would have to start with some HTML, but I could see heading for PHP, and all that stuff. I have dabbled, but it might be time to get down and really learn it.
