Favorite Characters

Hey there!

So I was just wondering, we all love Sherlock but who's your favorite character in the show (and why)?

I think Benedict Cumberbatch is super cool and hot and is a great Sherlock. Martin Freeman is just epic and awesome. But Sherlock characters I like Jim a lot. And Sherlock and John and Irene (kind of...) :)

I'm surprised more people don't automatically say Sherlock! Definitely my favorite. Sunday's episode went too fast and I wasn't really paying enough attention, but I mean, they made the character of Sherlock so well and so likable, I thought; soooo often he says all of the things you're thinking practically right when you think them! Definitely <3 that.

Okay, I'm going to expand on my previous answer:

Sherlock. I just... I adore him. He's fantastic.
Tie between John and Molly. I have so much love and respect and sympathy for Molly Hooper. She puts up with more than she should have to. And John is... John. I don't think I need to explain this.
Mycroft, sly thing that he is. I love the rivalry between him and Sherlock, which he seems to treat as a game but Sherlock takes very seriously because he sees his too-clever brother as competition. Meanwhile, Mycroft has a begrudging yet fond love for his brother, which I think shows its face a lot in "A Scandal in Belgravia."
Tie between Lestrade and Moriarty. And that's all I have to say about that.

John, he's the only person that Sherlock seems to truly trust. His character I think is more interesting because you don't know how he would react to something that happens. You don't know whats happening in his head. That is where him and Sherlock are alike I guess.

I'm new to the show, and sadly they are just airing series 2 in the states - but I love Mycroft... I watch Mycroft and Sherlock interact and I can't help but wonder - what their mother is like...
