I agree with almost everything Nichole said.  The writing, filming, acting, and editing are superb, and Sherlock is by far one of the best shows I've ever seen.  I would say it's better than Doctor Who, but, of course, NOTHING is better than Doctor Who.  The only flaw I can ever find with it is that Johnlock still isn't canon.

There.  I've said it.  I will always ship this.

The bright side is that they obviously spend a lot of time on the episodes. I mean, I got super annoyed that it took so long for the episodes to air but once I see them I'm happy they spent the time needed on the episodes to make them really good. I'm glad they spend months and months (and months and months *groan*) to get make sure that the writing, filming, acting, and editing are exactly right. To me, it's the difference between three mediocre episodes and three spectacular episodes.

That being said, I still want season three.

@Monica Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but series 3 won't be out until at least 2013, I don't think they've even started filming yet :( But we must stay strong, we were able (just) to wait 18 months after series 1 so hopefully we can wait a while for series 3!

@ Nichole R I really don't want to miss it, but I'm already having some serious emotions, and that's just from reading post-Reichenbach fanfics. 

@Laura My birthday gift to my BFF is going to be a Doctor Who embroidered hankie that she can use when Amy and Rory leave.  It's going to be an emotional time for us both - we just started watching, so Amy is our first companion.

Also, does anyone know when season 3 is coming out?  Will there be a gap between when it airs on BBC 1 and when it goes on BBC America?  I would JUST DIE if I went online one morning and everyone in the UK had seen John and Sherlock's reunion and I had to wait 5 months.

@Monica GO FOR IT. Reichenbach is probably my favorite episode of the series because all the actors and AT THEIR BEST and the writing and filming and editing and everything is perfect and heartbreaking and painful and beautiful. You don't really wanna miss that, do you?
