i find this group thought lvan, i have anxity, so in the really world there is only a hand full of people i can chat too, if i am bye i self, i with other people i freak out.

@gabrielle, theres really not much you can do for the awkwardness except practice. some people in public still mistake me for being mute, its only on the ning that i really can be myself. its comforting to know theres a whole community full of madeofawesome people here to support you :)

It takes a lot for me to open up in front of people and a really bad course of friends just recently doesn't help my case much, which is why I tend to be shy around people. I'm just really hesitant and awkward, not only that I'm hard to read so people get frustrated with me often.
I don't have the "normal" teenage life, which a lot of people patronize me for. Just trying to do my best to get through each day as it comes, I suppose.

Hi, all. I'm not diagnosed but my sister has selective mutism and I think I might as well. I can't make eye contact with people and I barely say more than 10 words a day unless a family member calls me.
