Comment by Zoë Achilles on August 11, 2012 at 12:27pm Does anyone know that feeling, when you spend lots of time with someone and you start feeling comfortable around the person, but you're still too shy to say anything, and the other person is also very shy, so you just spend the hole time silent, and not able to open your mouth? Because if so, has anyone an idea, how to change that? I'm trying very hard, but I'm just not able to talk to anyone, if he/she doesn't talk first and keeps the conversation going until a certain point...
Comment by Emilie on August 11, 2012 at 2:43am @Lucy I've actually have a hard time with ordering food. I get my brother to do it since hes more outspoken than I. But I do enjoy not being outgoing because people can be super scary.
And @Mochi i wanted to tell a guy I liked him but that plan was overrun by so many obstacles that I just quit.
Comment by Caroline LM on August 10, 2012 at 2:25pm @Maricruz I know the feeling. My younger sister is super outgoing but I get panicky about asking for help in a shop or ordering food...

Comment by Mochi on August 4, 2012 at 6:15pm Super-shy, I find it really really difficult to approach people I like. In fact I've only ever told one guy I liked him. Unless you count the other one that I texted but never really found out if my text message was actually received...
Also when it comes to forums I usually register then become too chicken to post stuff.
This could be attributed to the fact that I was cyber-bullied on a Harry Potter forum many years ago...
So yeah, that's my shy story.

Comment by Calbert Sheridan on July 23, 2012 at 4:29pm I'm really shy until I find out that the other person is worth talking to and they start the conversation.
Comment by Amelia the Unicorn on July 23, 2012 at 11:55am I'm...shy in real life unless I know you real well. until then, i have no idea what to say.
Uhm.... hi.... uh, hi. My name is Christian and... uh... i'm shy all the time. But very shy some days.... so, uh.... does anyone... like, want to chat sometime... or, something?
Comment by Kira on July 20, 2012 at 2:01pm Every time I meet someone it's like there's some block in my brain that prevents me from saying anything interesting. In fact, even constructing a coherent sentence proves itself to be impossible in these situations. When I'm writing to someone I don't really know, I have no problem being talkative, and I'm crazy random/hyper around friends. It's making these friends that's difficult. I see other people make instant connections, and I'm just like "what's your secret????" And Tia, and totally feel what you're going through with the compensating for shyness by trying to talk more. Sometimes, in groups I know a bit better, I'll chatter about anything and everything, and cringe in the midst of it, wondering where the hell my off button is. Ah, life. :P
