Comment by Bryan Rosander, FL on February 1, 2013 at 6:22am Books: Read the Tales of ... short stories books, The original Thrawn trilogy, and the X-Wing series, especially the reboot by Aaron Allston.
The games have Space sims, First Person Shooters, and Real Time Strategies, and the Bioware Kotor games. I would stay away from the RTS games but the other ones tended to be good for their genre with enough innovation to make them memorable.
Comment by Ian McMichen on January 31, 2013 at 6:47pm For books, I would suggest avoided anything with "Karen Traviss" printed on the front.
Games, it's pretty easy to find the good ones; pretty much everything that came out before or during 2005. Most of the games released since are usually meh at best.
Comics, all I have is The Old Republic: Blood of the Empire in a single volume. I won't be of much help there.
Comment by Jackson McDermott on January 31, 2013 at 4:32pm What kind of Star Wars books/video games/comic books would you wonderful people suggest me trying out?
Comment by Craig P. on January 31, 2013 at 4:31pm Im terrified, but at the same time there have been so many different stories written throughout the years, I really can't be mad at the story that is Star Wars. To be honest Star Wars is much older than me and will probably be here a lot longer than I will. Lets just hope it isn't apart of world suck.
Comment by Ian McMichen on January 26, 2013 at 10:20pm Maybe our expectations shouldn't be too high. The expectations for The Phantom Menace were astronomical, and look what happened.
Comment by Katie Kinsinger on January 25, 2013 at 11:28pm the expectations for the movie are really big... i just don't want it to suck...

Comment by Erin Grant on January 25, 2013 at 3:00pm A lot of people seem to be freaking out about him directing (bringing up Cloverfield). I'm pretty excited about it. It will be nice to have some new air and maybe change things up a bit. I read and interview and he said he was scared because he loved Star Wars so much growing up.
Comment by aj on January 25, 2013 at 2:36pm it's confirmed!
Comment by Ian McMichen on January 25, 2013 at 2:19pm So the latest rumor is that JJ Abrams is directing Episode VII.
