i wonder if using the daedric shrine has something to do with it?

i've never got around to fitting out deepscorn hollow.  too busy just going back to mah wizard tower and going f-yeah i gots a wizard tower.

the overpowered version you can get from deepscorn hollow, i must just a glitch or something because i level my sneak and security and they wake up immediately.

@Jacob  I've never finished the game in total. But the final thieves mission I can now do in less than 1 hour, but not by much, because NPCs are leveled and the cooler my gear the harder they are.  With the dorm it's also about timing, as well as sneaking.  You might be exhilirated from beating the statue guards and all the epic stuff, and have forgotten to change into your dark brotherhood sneak bonus outfit. Just don't forget to put the boots back on if you're going to gone down the flue.  Although I have heard you still get to keep the scrolls if you're arrested by the guards.  It's also a good idea to have 100 iron arrows to practice with as reloading every time you miss with the misson arrow takes time too.

i do the same, i change each character slightly now each time i start because i think I'm starting to run out of changes. Okay here's a question for everyone, what's your fastest runthrough of oblivion ( this means main questline and all factions. mention if it includes shivering isles and/or knight of nine or not). My fastest time including both expansions is 60 hours, without expansions is 45 (for some reason i can never beat the final thieves guild mission in less than an hour, i always get caught no matter what entering the dorm area.

Just beat it for the first time on Xbox ( meaning all factions and expansions and houses, more major quests), I'vebeaten it several times on computer but the console version felt different to me.

I haven't played much of the elder scrolls series, only a bit of morrowind, but I am pretty much obsessed with Oblivion. I have finished it, but can't stop playing for all the tiny quests and such. I'm not lying, this game is seriously addictive! :)
