I need someone to illustrate children's books?

I have a 6 year old nephew, and an 18 month old niece. and I've decided to write children's books for them. I've got the creativity, and the ideas, unfortunately... I'm such a terrible artist. I need someone to illustrate for me. And obviously, we'll share the credit and such, and you'll get a copy as well.

I wouldn't mind it, but it's not my main goal. I really just want to write some books to help my niece and nephew (and my future kids). But I'll probably try, if I can.

I've already written up one story. They're very short, very simple stories. Usually with a virtue or something to be learned. My first so far, is about a cat with bad breath. And nobody really wants to be around him. And a puppy who can't smell, and he gets made fun of by other dogs. Him and the cat become best friends. 

My set up is one page has two lines of text, very simple text usually, and the opposite page is a picture illustrating what happened. (Like I said, I'm just trying to teach my nephew and niece how to read). 

So, a lot of my stories will have animals. So, I'd like someone who can drawn animals and make them look adorable. So, I'd really like to see your work as well before I choose anyone. I will probably do one on zombies. My nephew has a thing for zombies.
