So the problem people have with rap is how it's marketed, it's marketed with pointless sex, drug use, and the hopes of self gratification through money. But looking past marketing rap is clever and intuitive.

I saw Lupe Fiasco in concert, but he would only do his really popular songs. Some of his greatest stuff has the deepest meaning. I really like some Wale songs, as well as Meek Mill and Kid Cudi. If you like amazing freestyle, check out Blind Fury. His songs aren't the best, but his freestyles (as well as Kid Cudi's) are amazing.

Lupe Fiasco is a great artist, especially his earlier work. He also was in a rock band called Japanese Cartoon, so you could go check that out.

Just downloaded all Aesop rock, Atmosphere, Cage and Eminem cd's I could find :) anyone else have suggestions for great rap music?
