Hey nerdfighters.. I always felt like I was weak if I told people I had depression.. but, yeah, I have depression and severe anxiety. My mom said I've been a "worrier" all my life, but things got even worse for me after I suffered a severe brain trauma in 2005.
Mostly I'd just feel really sad or anxious about little things or nothing at all and I've cut myself a few times. But then about a year ago, I tried to kill myself. I had to spend sometime in the mental ward, which is the worst thing I've experienced to date.
The thing is, my family doesn't talk about these things and my friends want to care, but don't understand. I'm starting to have a really hard time again and I don't know who or how to ask for help.

Hi everyone! I dealt with Self-injury for 5 years and last year I was finally able to quit for good. Recently I started a group that was about self-injury support and awareness. I really feel like these are some common goals with the TWLOHA movements. Note I do not want to butt in on the work that TWLOHA wants to do. I believe that our two groups could very easily and aptly complement each other. Some nerdfighters who self-injure might not know about the TWLOHA movement and can be connected through my group. Other people may not want to join TWLOHA for whatever reason they might have. My goal is to provide a place for the support and awareness of self-injury to nerdfighters or anyone who may need it. If you are suffering or would like to help those who are suffering with something that causes so much world suck the link to the group is here

Hi.. I'm 23, I just joined this group, just joined the site even but I'm glad there's a group for this on here.

I have depression, anxiety and I struggle most days with self-harm or cutting. Well the struggle is trying not to. Last night actually after going five days without I relapsed. I still feel horrible, more about relapsing than what I was upset about then.

Anyway, I'm glad there are people who care about these sorts of things out there and even here. It makes somethings feel better.

The bookmark I use the most, and the one I am currently using in my The Fault in Our Stars copy, is actually a clothing tag from a TWLOHA t shirt.
