Scott Westerfeld's Uglies TRILOGY (emphasis on the trilogy) was one of those rare trilogies that ended in a way that made me satisfied and not disappointed that there weren't more books. I mean, I love his writing, and I wanted more of his writing, but I was perfectly satisfied with his trilogy and thought it ended about as perfectly as a series can end.

Then he had to go and make Extras which to me SUCKED. I mean, no, don't get me wrong. It didn't actually SUCK. It was just disappointing. It wasn't anything like the previous three books and, to me, it really took away from the perfection of the series.

1. Pretties
2. Specials
3. Uglies
4. Extras

I didn't as much like the story line of Extras as the concept, I have always been an extra in my life, both on the stage and off

I keep wanting to yell at Zane and Tally not to take the pills separately! It's torture to not have hope that Zane will get better.

someone stole my Uglies book! i have no idea where it went! ugh! moving on...

omg when i first read that book, i wanted to cry! actually, when i first read about the Rusties, i DID cry a little! that was scary as shit! seriously, it scares me almost, but not quite as much as, Farenheit 451 and as much as the Giver. i never want any descendents of mine to have to deal with anything remotely resembling this
