Summer Gathering 2010

So, the whole 2009 gathering didn't work out. I don't think we gave ourshelves enough time for planning and now the summers almost gone. So let's work on next summer's plans! This way, we have a whole year to plan.

I think from the forum we established that D.C. would be the most convinent/best place to host this gathering.

Q and A about the gathering so far:

Q: Where in D.C. we're going to meet?
A. The Carousel at the mall.

But other than that heres some things we need to decide;

1. What we're going to do? Events, food, exc?
- Museums? The Natural Museum of History is a must, the Air and Space Museum and the National Art Gallery have been mentioned so far.
2. When exactly should the gathering take place?
3. How everyone's going to get there? Will carpools be in order?
4. How much money are you personally willing to spend on this gathering?

Chris you and i can go on a secret button hunt on the side of his chair. i'm sure someone is bound to ask us what were doing, haha. yeah man i dont remember the street name but it's near a hospital and an elementary school. thats cool blacksburg isnt that far away, my sister is at college at Radford so thats even closer and i see her all the time.

And they do? That's tight! I'm moving to Blacksburg in about two weeks. Got my associate's degree, now I've skipped a year and am going to be a Junior at VT.

Comment by Payne on August 7, 2009 at 11:47am: then it's settled! i hug honest abe's leg as long as someone videotapes it. i'll be 18 almost 19 when this gathering happens so driving is no problem for me, i can seat...4 not including me. plus if people want to buy stuff then yeah, they'd need more money.
