Hi all. I'm from Baltimore City Maryland. I'm a little on the young side though. But if you're ever in the Baltimore are. It'd be nice to meet.

Likewise, I'll be in the park in the afternoon anyways. There are a number of places within walking distance where we could do brunch before hand, or simply meet for a regular lunch and then migrate to the park.

If the weather's nice I'll probably be there after 4:00 pm anyways. Is anyone else available next Sunday or would another time/date work better?

I guess I had to learn to play bocce ball eventually. How about next Sunday afternoon?

I just set up my ning account. And jumping into the conversation: I'd recommend a potluck picnic or something at Meridian Hill (Malcolm X) Park on a Sunday during the drum circle when the weather's nice. Play some bocce ball, Frisbee, catch (though we may lack the prerequisite hand eye coordination).

I'm told I need to try a few places right around Chinatown, like Red Line or Rocket Bar. Or there's a quaint little hookah bar near the Courthouse stop.

Unfortunately I don't - I've spent far too little time enjoying D.C. itself. I'll try pretty much anything within a reasonable distance of the Metro.  Do you have any suggestions?

Let's hope so. Did you have a preferred happy hour spot you wanted to recommend?

A brunch would be pretty cool, but I really like the Screen on the Green idea.  I'm excited to see their schedule is up!  A happy hour somewhere in the city is a good idea too, and potentially less awkward than a brunch could be for those of us quieter nerdfighters.  Everybody here over 21?

I'd be down for the stereotypical DC brunch. Or else DC has various outdoor movie showings:
