Wrock!

Okay, so we've been thinking about all you wizard rock nerds sorting yourself into one of the five houses. That's right, five. Wizard rock nerds can be in the House of Awesome.
The votes are in! You lovely nerds out there have decided that we're going to have groups on the ning for each of the five houses. Thanks to everyone who voted! We'll try to get the groups up ASAP, but be patient with us ;)

Kind of freaked myself out last night.  I was in the car listening to a Nina Simone CD from like 1983 which I'd just got from the library and heard the last track and could believe my ears.

She sang:

"

And they hide their faces
And they hide their eyes
'Cause the city's dyin'
And they don't know why

Oh, Vold- e- more
Ain't it hard to live
Oh, Vold- e- more
Ain't, it hard just to live, just to live"

So of course. I'm thinking she's talking about the effect of Dementors on a city and how hard Voldemort works just to stay alive.... And then I think a Wrock song on here?  Really?  WAIT A MINUTE - THIS IS (C) LIKE 1983!  What the????

So I pulled over and grabbed the case and looked at the track title.  It was Baltimore (LOL) - and I know Baltimore  doesn't sound much like Voldemort... But it does in the song.

I thought I'd found the first recorded example of Wrock....

Is anyone going to the Harry and the Potters Summer Tour this summer? They're touring with Potter Puppet Pals, it's going to be rad.

Love love love Wizard Rock, but none of my favourite bands tour the UK :(

Is anyone going to the Bliddering Humdingers, Lauren Fairweather, Whomping Willows, and Justin Finch-Fletchly show in Amherst, MA on Monday?

I second that statement.

There is a certain magical-ness to saying "wizard rock" but I'm kinda liking the idea of confusing people with "wih-rock" XD

I always said wrock or wizard rock. The last way makes things more clear.
Comment by Danno on January 22, 2012 at 1:40pm

so, kinda indirectly related to most wih-rock but there are enough out there that i'd love everyone's opinion on this subject
