Do you want a Forums section dedicated to you, the writers?

Well, this is embarrassing. I sent a message to the group instead of making a discussion. *Sigh* I’ll get it right this time. As you can see, I’m definitely the right admin for this job.

As I was saying, I'm the Forums NM here (My name is Itai, if you wish to call me that.), and as you can see, writing ISN'T my forte. However, on to the point: the forums team has an idea about making a whoooole section dedicated to... well, you guys! A forums section like this would make posting your stories, ideas, etc., like your group, but much more accessible and efficient than said group. It has other benefits, as well, but I won't get into them here.

This means more people can give their opinions, if that’s what you wish. Obviously, more individuals will have access to reading your work. It has potential, I think.

What I’d like you guys, the largest writing group on here, to do, is to ponder about it a tad and tell me your thoughts. Should we make it? Is it a terrible idea? Let us know your particular thoughts, as well as features and details you may want.

Anyways, this discussion must have serious feedback, be it positive or negative. I can’t stress that enough. Oh, and before I bring this little message to a close, I’ve got one thing that must be added.

It may be a Forum team project, but it’s all thanks to none other than my mod Ode. Her idea. So. Credit due where credit is due. ^____^

This would be awesome! Could there be subcategories? ie: Poetry, short stories, advice, collaborations, novels, nonfiction, et cetera?

My only other concern is that older stories get buried with all the other posts, but hey, self-promotion isn't always so bad! Yay forum admins! You guys rule.

Hmmm, I see... Well, that has yet to be done in the forums. However, I'll obviously take it up with the team, and then the rest to see if I can procure the permission.

I love that idea! We could have different sections too, maybe? Like fiction, non fiction, poetry, etc?

Would it be possible in a forum type thing, to have a way of highlighting the most liked stories or something? If not, that's fine. But, I agree that the sub-categories thing would be kind of extremely helpful as well.

I was actually just thinking about how much sense this would make and then I saw this topic.  It's like you've read my mind.  And I do like the idea of sub-forums if you can swing it.

Whooooaaaa. Large positive response. That increases the chances that a section of the sort may be created. 

However, after checking with the techies, it seems that Ning (the service this site is powered by) does not support sub-sections. Thus, if we were to create said section, there would be no subsections. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience.
