NaNoWriMo 2012

How many of you guys are doing it this year? Feel free to exchange names so that we can have writer buddies. Also whats your idea? Any techniques/tips/advice? We should all suffer the insanity and fun together :)

I'm giving it a shot. I've had this idea for a while and this is a good way to force me to get it out lol.

My recommendation to anyone would just be to WRITE!! You can't be a writer if you don't write anything, so just go for a draft, screw editing! I'm no writing guru (first time doing this) but that's just what's working for me.

Now if you'll excuse me I have about 37,000 more words to get through. Good luck! :)

I'm doing wrimo too, for the second time this year. And it's going pretty well, as of yet :P
I'm about 3k behind schedule right now though, and I've been distracted and putting off lots of things, but i need to buck up. I'm writing Young Adult, and hopefully i'll have a decent draft in my hand by the 30th!

Hi all!
I'm doing NaNoWriMo for the first time this year, and I just thought of something that may be helpful. So the goal is to get to 50,000 words, correct? Well that doesn't mean you have to be 50,000 words into your story. As long as you have 50,000 words of your novel written, it doesn't matter where you are in it! So my recommendation would be to feel free to jump around a bit, like if you have a good ending you want to write, then write it! Write anything related to the novel and it's bound to help you reach your goal.

I'm currently sitting just under 32,000 and my novel is almost finished. It's not that I don't know what to write it's that the story is complete. How do I fit an extra 18,000 into a completed story?!
