Nerdfighters

So... who else is doing NaNoWriMo? (NaNoWriMo is a literary marathon of sorts; if you'd like to check it out, please see this site: http://www.nanowrimo.org/)

If you are participating this year, leave your username in the comments - I wanna know how my fellow writer nerdfighters are surviving the month! =)

Mine is frostie, in case anyone wanted to check up on me - but I warn you now: I plan on jumping head-first into this on the 1st of November without a clue as to what I'm going to write. It's completely insane (with school and all), and I may cry, but it will be epic!

I'm doing NaNoWriMo!!
I just heard about it and I'm very excited. I can hardly wait for November.
My username is tweak3. Good luck, everyone!
This is so cool!
Thanks for the heads up.
I just got an account!
I'm Book_Pirate and just added/requested you as a buddy!
~cheers~
I wish... I'm having trouble getting any time to write at all, much less 50,000 words. Unless you count essays. >.br />
Maybe I can get my English teacher to give extra credit to anyone who completes it... then I could write without guilt!
That would be awesome! You should try. =P
AW. I was just about to make this thread!!
I'm totally doing it! I did it last year, and it was awesome. My username is Kavithaispadfoot, and my page:

Just tell me if you're adding me and you're from the ning, because I don't want random people adding me ^_^

I've already got my novel planned out, and I'm SUPER excited for it!!
I have added you as a buddy! (Mine is frostie, I'm not random) =P
I signed up for it, but I've never done it before . . . my username is skyelightning.
Help, please? I'm not sure how it works. I know I have to write 50,000 words in November but other than that I'm lost.
That's really just the point of NaNoWriMo, challenging yourself to write +50K words of a novel in 30 days. You learn a lot about your writing and yourself as a writer. My advice is to check out the forums, because not only are they useful if you get stuck, but you can meet other people with similar interests. Another thing is if you join a home region group, they organize get-together during the month of November to write and help each other out.

Also, in order to 'win' NaNoWriMo, you update your word count on the site itself. I don't know if they open the word count on the 1st or if they only do it halfway through the month. If you're really serious about hitting the 50k, don't forget to update your word count before midnight on the 30th, because that's when they turn it off.

(P.S. I am by no means an expert on NaNoWriMo, this is my first year doing it; if you have any more questions, try the FAQ and 'About' sections on the website - they're actually very useful and entertaining)
If you don't mind my asking: why aren't you signing up?

(I wish you luck!)
I'm doing NaNoWriMo this year! My username is JawaKitten. I've never had both the time -and- motivation to try before, but I think this will be the year that I forgo all other distractions (well, most of them) and just WRITE!

2.5 pages a day, here I come!
Hell, I'm up for it. I need to sit down and write this story I've been making a "mind movie" for the past few months. I think it'll make me feel satisfied with the fact I haven't written anything since summer vacation.
I think I may do NaNoWriMo. My friend told me about it a couple years ago, but I've never done NaNoWriMo before, so I think I'll try it!
