hello, fellow nerdfighter writers!
i'm pretty new here so i don't know if this has already been suggested, but i was just wondering if anyone was up for starting a nerdfighter writing critique group of between like 3 and 7 people. we could meet each week over skype or google plus or whatever your favorite video chat medium is and share what we've been working on!
and if more than 3-7 people want to join, we can like, split up into genre groups or something. i personally am writing young adult fiction.
I know, isn't that annoying. When I realized I had closed the wrong tab I wanted to cry. And even if I was able to bring the tab right back up I had lost everything I had written that was just horrible.
And I have no problem with you wanting to lead this. More than happy to let someone else do the annoying stuff, like being responsible and act all grown-up.
I know this site has the ability to private chat, but I think in on a one-to-one basis, and wouldn't really work for a group setting. Facebook is ok with me, though i haven't really used much of the chat features on it so I might have to bug my sis to show me how that works.
I like the idea for the prompts. It will be nice to work in some areas that i usually avoid because I am not so good at them (my characters don't have a lot of dialogue in my short stories because I suck at it).
Sounds good :) except that nobody is really replying to these posts anymore, and nobody has emailed me yet. I guess we can just wait til the 1st July and see what happens, OTHERWISE I'll figure it out from there.
Two more things: one, how old are you? I'm curious. I only just turned 15...today, actually :)
Two: you're not that great at dialogue and I'm not great at description. It's perfect!
Yeah, wait and see does seem to be the method in most things I find interesting. The world will not fall apart if nothing happens by then. Well, it might, but if that is the last screw in the world's coffin, then I'd just say we are screwed anyway.
And yes, if we could combine into one writing being, we would be perfect. (me and my sis have this "problem" as well. we always find it interesting when we read each other's work)
Could we do a writing group just the three of us? We could get a lot of feedback that way.
I don't mind just doing a small group, and if anyone wants to join us we can just expand.
Looks like the three of us, then! I'm the youngest (I think?) but I hope that doesn't put you off.
As to how we can meet and converse...Facebook would be alright, because we can create groups and communicate instantly, as well as post writing. Do you two have Facebook/be willing to add each other? Otherwise I'm open to other ideas.
Sounds fine to me.
Emily, I would love to add you on facebook, however there are so many other Emily Mead's that it's hard to find you. Could you add Carissa and I and then we can work out meetings and the like. My profile is https://www.facebook.com/melodyr3
I am excited! I look forward to working with you guys.
I know I'm a little late to the party, but I would love to do this. I am writing Science Fiction and Young Adult. Maybe we can split into groups by genre?
I'd love to join this if it's not too late! I've just finished exams, and the after exam celebrations, got nothing but time!
What's the best way to contact you?
I wanna join :D too late?
