Here's a poem I wrote in 4th grade :-)

Yellow
Of all the colors in the rainbow,
yellow is my favorite.
It is vivid and bright,
the color of sunshine.
It is invigorating
like a fresh lemon.
Yellow is cheery
like a candle in the dark.
Yellow stands out
like the moon at night.
Yellow reminds me of things I like--
cheese, apples, daffodils, and baby chicks.
