Jane Adams replied to JoJo's discussion Reading Tea Leaves. in the group Teafighters
"Haha, fortune telling is one of my favorite hobbies, so maybe I can help. I don't really believe in any of this stuff, but it's a lot of fun. Tasseomancy is particularly fun because, well, there's tea involved. Just like many other…"

JoJo replied to Codekitsune's discussion Book That Inspired You The Most in the group Nerdfighters Who Write and Read a Lot.
"When I was in middle school I read, Lemony Snicket: The Unauthorized Autobiography, I loved it so much. Now any time I read anything by Neil Gaiman something clicks, and I have to write anything."

There is a bug in my bed....

I smacked some bug not realizing that the little creep would fall right on my bed, now I can't find it, which makes it so much worst. Curse my bold pattered bed spread, if I had just picked a solid color I could see the bug and crush it. Now I feel all itchy, like it's crawling on me, sorta like when someone mentions lice and even when you know you don't have it you still scratch... AHHHHHH I HATE BUGS!That's actually not true, bugs don't bother me only when they sneak up on me.Today I cleaned…See More

Old things, like lamps and cameras, old paintings, books, and fifty year old condoms.

Where do you get pictures small enough to fit into a locket? It's strange seeing all the things a person can accumulate over a lifetime. My grandmother died in May and my family was charged with slowly cleaned out her house, as well as the room she stayed in while living with us. I've always liked going through old things, it's like a window into the past, into someone eases life. The fifty year old condoms however, I could have lived without. In other news I got my hair cut, "Rent" the musical…See More

Reading Tea Leaves.

I've seen it done on movies, read about it, looked it up, and I get the general idea how to read tea leaves. I just haven't found a good reference for what the symbols mean.

Teafighters

For those who understand that tea is the answer to all of life's questions. For those who use tea leaves. For those who use teabags. For those who haven't quite mastered the art of 'the perfect cuppa'. For those who just like tea. This is for you.

JoJo replied to Alastair Saverio's discussion What makes a nerdfighter a nerdfighter? (Core values?)
"I think if a nerdfighter were to do something like cheat they would feel bad about it. Nerdfighters are nerdfighters because they want to be, we also strive to decrease world suck. I would assume, if a person decided to be a nerdfighter, they would…"

The week of awesome.

My week of awesome began in the middle of the week. Like many other Nerdfighters I stood in line in the wee hours of the night last Tuesday waiting for the sixth Harry Potter movie. It was the exact mixture of amazing and infuriating that I knew it would be, beautiful and enthralling but still understandingly disappointing because "it just wasn't like that in my head." I did my very best to ignore the fangirl in my head, look past Tonk's mullet, and it worked I really truly enjoyed the movie.…See More

Profile Information

What Kind of Nerdfighter Are You?
Reading writing nerd.
About Me:
Kelly is eighteen years old and graduating from Independence High School this year. She is often described as being funny, smart, geeky, and blunt. Kelly enjoys simple things hats, nice smelling candles, dark black pens, red notebooks, friends, family, gardening, soap, and books. Her favorite color is black, because it goes well with all the other colors. Bubblegum pink & lime green together are a close second, it's all subjective really.

All her hopes and dreams are currently centered on the reading and writing of words. In her humble opinion words are vital to human life, without them nothing would be what it is. Kelly enjoys filling any notebook she gets her hands on with off the wall ramblings a story parts.

Kelly is a textbook example of a Scorpio and loves to brag about it, she loves everything about being a Scorpio especially her birthday. October thirty first, so it is logical that her favorite holliday is Halloween because she gets candy and birthday cake. Cake is the food of the gods. Finally Kelly now understands why it is that Neil Gaiman (her personal hero) writes all of his bios in third person, as it is much easier to gush about ones self.
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
Alice in Wonderland, all of John Green's books are wonderful I especially love Alaska. Dogs of Babble, God Shaped Hole, Twilight the other books are ok but I greatly prefer the first, Harry Potter, Maximum Ride, The World According to Garp, Shike, Blood and Chocolate, Neverwhere because everything Neil Gaiman writes is amazing. And so many others that I've read and just can't think of right now.
What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
Hats, strange beautiful hats.
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
Neil Gaiman
