Shannon said… The professor could be a little dull at times, but the subject was pretty interesting. The majority of Japanese history that I knew prior to the class was from anime, so it was nice to formally study the history. The class mostly focused on the changing cultural and political landscapes of Japan (particularly Honshu for most of the class) rather than specific events, but that is pretty standard for university history classes.
As for the university itself, it was fantastic. Living on or near campus is like great, since you are always with other people of the same sort of age group and you can do stupid stuff at one in the morning. Classes are also really great, especially when you get basic 100-level courses people take to fulfill general requirements and only have other students who actually care about the material.
Shannon said… Those sound like pretty great classes. Gender and minorities are always fun. I only took one class on Japanese history. I minored in Medieval Studies and Art History.
Shannon said… Do you know what subfield of anthropology you're interested int?

Is basically just like, awesome. :3
Oh, and the fact that you're brave enough to be a vegetarian, despite the existence of bacon.
Chelsie Olivia said… No problem. :D
And, thank youu. :3

Saw your response to that one Nerdfighterlike groupamabobb and thought you sounded cool. You're a few thousand miles away, but that won't stop me from telling you that you're awesome. (:
Maggie Hoffman said… Haha, it's okay, people do that sometimes when they don't immediately see similarities. Sounds like a good read, I might read through it after I finish the Shoujo manga I'm currently on.
On an unrelated note, I am a mediocre bowler! :D
Maggie Hoffman said… I've never heard of that one, what's it about?
