Hayden Wells joined Alaska Is Beautiful's groupSo, I have decided to write another blog.
I havn't in a while...and I wanted to, mainly because of a lot of recent turns my life has taken and my need to write about it some kind of way. I had been trying unsuccessfully to blog about something that I will cover in this blog, but somehow I just couldn't. Thankfully, in a full-on rant session email that I sent to a close friend of mine last night, I have loosened up my soul just enough to blog, I think.
In case you don't already…

I guess the post title could be "Honesty" since that title was unnervingly honest ("Honesty? What is this 'honesty' you speak of?" quote the raven of American society...or most society, really).
Original ideas for the title include "YOLO" and "You Only Live Once?"
But before you scramble in the other direction, hear me out. I am typing what I'd like to call an enjoyable (if not completely time-wasting) blog.
If you haven't heard of the acronym YOLO, it stands for "You…

Today I was sitting at my grandmother's house in the living room alone, as I often find myself when everyone else is off and busy being without me (I'm a nerd with peculiar dreams, what can I say?).
This time around however, instead of writing, reading, talking to myself, pretending to be Hamlet, etc., I decided to watch television.
Now, television and I have a weird relationship (as in I usually watch TV shows on the internet, so the actual TV doesn't like me…

Yes, this blog is about The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.
Yes, I know everything is about The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.
No, I don't think it is old. Nor do I think it will ever be old because it does not have the capability of being old. Have you forgotten that it was written byJohn Green? Let this serve as a reminder.
I read…

I wanted to blog.
Though this is not entirely what I had in mind...I think this will suffice as something to blog about.
Viewer discretion is advised...you may not be able to handle the six pick-up lines I am about to type for you.
"So, I saw you wearing your Pizza John T-shirt a few days back, and, uh, I think it's pretty jokes."
"It might be just me, but something about the way your fingers furiously fly across your calculator is…

Vaisaali Balakrishnan said… LOL it really is. Of course, it's a bit of a redundant statement as all Nerdfighters are made of awesome.
Brenna Searcy said… Thank you!
Quiet is quite good, I'm enjoying it very much. Semi-hooked is not exactly the word I'd use to describe my situation with Supernatural. I think I'm probably obsessed.
Iris Angélica O.C. said… Certainly most of the Miyazaki films...and any other film that includes awesome magical parallel worlds :D Thanks for comment.
aj said… i am awestruck, thank you for that coment. you made my day.
tonight i am posting a song about lord of the rings.
aj said… i really like your profile pic of the pianio.
Lonna Mathie said… Oh don't worry, this sticking to a story that I'm doing at the moment comes after a long line of unfinished stories where I did the exact opposite; in fact, this story happened as a total accident when taking a break from writing one of my others. I just sat down and wrote what was on my mind, fell in love with the characters a little bit and realised I could develop it :') But yeah, you totally should get a Tumblr! :3 It really is quite addictive, I'll warn you now, but I still enjoy it. Let me know if you do make one :)
Lonna Mathie said… Oh, thankyou very much! :3 I was on Fanfiction when I was about twelve so I didn't even mention that because the stories are excruciating, haha. I don't have a lot of things completed either, and I know what you mean about getting a lot of ideas and needing to start them straight away, but I'm trying to stick to the one I'm writing just now and finish it c: You should get a Tumblr! I'm a little bit addicted to it, although admittedly more to my general one than my writing/books one :')
Lonna Mathie said… I have a Tumblr account separate from my personal one where I post snippets of writing and talk about books, which is http://lonnatalksbooks.tumblr.com/ :') I don't really post any longer pieces anywhere, I used to use deviantArt but I kind of abandoned that. What about you? As a fellow Nerdfighter, I'm sure your writing is equally as - if not more - awesome :)
Lonna Mathie said… Oh, wow, that sounds awesome. It also sounds like the sorts of things that I just can't seem to write :') I guess I'm a bit of a hopeless romantic so the things I write tend to be a bit like that, although I like to hope they're not sickeningly romantic. I guess I like to write about things that are close to home, although I'm aware that I should branch out and I sometimes write about more fantastical things too, like magic and dragons and such. I also recently read 1984 for the first time which was all dystopian and which I thoroughly enjoyed, although I've never written anything like that myself. :)
Lonna Mathie said… As a newbie I'm hoping this is the right way to reply, so... Thankyou! I'm glad to be here, everybody I've spoken to so far seems lovely and I'm sure I'll enjoy it here as much as - or possibly more than - Tumblr, once I figure everything out :)
Oh and by the way, in response to you being another aspiring novelist: what kinds of things do you write? c:
