"You're  assuming that others were taught how to read and write grammatical constructs at your early age. Where it is actually the case that most people learn written language rules later on, perhaps around ten years of age. …"

"I quite like this rant. Whilst I also enjoyed the Stephen Fry video, I can sometimes be a little unforgiving, inwardly, about grammatical mistakes. Why? Because I'm a control freak, yet I try very hard not to impose my Control Freakness on…"

Homophones

I have seen the phrase "It's the Internet, who cares?" far too many times recently.Who cares? Educated people care. The Internet wasn't created for human beings to decrease their intelligence. From a very early age I learned about homophones and how to use them properly. Everyone should have. So why do so many people neglect this key part of education?I received a gift for Valentine's Day this year and the card accompanying it read: "Your Great!" I then spent the rest of the day trying to…See More

What Kind of Nerdfighter Are You?
a new Nerdfighter :o
About Me:
I'm not very good at writing about myself, but hey. I'll try my best. My name's Alex, I'm about to graduate high school, I've recently discovered the loveliness that is Nerdfighteria, and I'm in a second-year Japanese class until the end of June. I like video games and reading and sleeping.
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
I recently read Looking for Alaska, Paper Towns, and The Fault in our Stars, and all three of them were immediately added to my favorite books list. Also on that list are the Harry Potter series. I also read manga sometimes, so I like that. I don't watch a lot of movies, but most of the ones I like are either in Japanese or Korean. As for music, I mainly listen to K-pop, J-Pop, and Visual Kei. I also love some Chinese artists. :3 And of course, I enjoy Hank's music as well.
What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
hats
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
Can I have a big group happy dance with all the Nerdfighters?
When did you start watching the Vlogbrothers?
