I only had about a three week break between the end of my summer semester and the start of the fall semester, most of which was spent working a ton so I could afford my textbooks for this term. (Gah!) Being an English major means that even when you only take a class or two, you're guaranteed to have a massive list of textbooks every term. (Seven books between the two classes this time.) How's your start to school been? Mine's actually not too bad so far, apart from some mass confusion involving public transportation - something my tiny little hometown never had, so I was pretty clueless for a couple days.

Neville is spectacular. I would love to read some spin-off stories for him. I actually write some over on fanfiction.net that I'm relatively fond of, quality-wise. (I will be the first to admit that not all of my fanfiction is up to par.) I also used to bulletin-board-style roleplay on Hogwarts Extreme - before it was overrun by Twihards and twelve year olds - as Neville's daughter when she went to Hogwarts, and so I played as Professor Longbottom a lot because no one else wanted to play him :( It was fun though.

And to say that I'm a Neville fan would be a MASSIVE understatement. He is without a doubt my favourite character of the series, and one of my favourite literary characters of all time. I sometimes wish he would have ended up with Luna too, but at the same time I think they were just too different, and I like that he married a Hufflepuff in the end (Huffy house pride!) I think he and Hannah are a good match.

Honestly at this point I don't even know what it's like to be a Creative Writing major, lol. I'm still in the early stages so for the most part I'm just taking a lot of general English classes that you have to take with any English degree. Hopefully within the next year or so I can start actually taking real writing classes, and then I'll let you know. :)
