Mo Rocca

OH MY GOODNESS. Hank is in a video presented by Mo Rocca. He's there (probably in the middle of a song video?) at 7:28 minutes. I was thrilled. It took a while to load, just a heads up.

Umm. I like wasting my time? And so the video pertains to me?

What Kind of Nerdfighter Are You?
I'm the book-reading grammarian-type who doodles, makes everything a science project, and tells bad jokes.
About Me:
I listen to odd music that most people have never heard of, and I cannot sing popular songs as I generally bypass their existence. This makes RockBand sort of difficult as I somehow gravitate towards the microphone anyway?

I follow an ever-increasing collection of webcomics... xckd, qwantz, The Adventures of Dr.McNinja, The Abominable Charles Christopher, Cat Rackham, Nedroid comics, Lint, Johnny Wander, Kukuburi, Basic Instructions, Ctrl+Alt+Del, The Port, The Princess Planet, beatonna's history comics... geeze... that's what? 14? Wow.

I sing in the shower.
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
The Abhorsen Trilogy, Freakonomics, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Of Mice and Men, To Kill a Mockingbird, Jurassic Park, The Princess Bride (yes it's a book, too).
What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
Newly unwrapped presents, preferably small in size
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
My buddy Catlin

Jeebus Cripes, I've been behind since day six and I just met the overall goal. I cranked out about ten thousand words in the last three days... I'd like to thank you guys for getting me here. I'm glad one of you pointed out Write or Die, because I...

I am still behind, but I managed to poop out 4250 words today. There was tea involved. That, and a lot of right clicking and mutterings of "Yes, I meant that word, dumb computer spell check thingy." Ahhhhh I still have not broken 20,000 ahhhh.

So far I've been pretty consistent. I'm actually on par today (!), but tomorrow and Sunday I will be doing lots of homework and going to a friend's house, so... I don't know if I'll get anything done. I do reverse-binge writing? I have several tea...

Hahaha. Pepperpots are wonderful. Something about Cleese towering over everybody while in a dress and make up just makes me smile.

I'm 794 words behind today, but I am fine with that. I get off early on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I was maybe a thousand words behind yesterday's quota, so I'm gaining. I was just researching southern hemisphere constellations and the calendar se...

I joined, as evidenced by my new icon. I've got real-life backup and we're all going to rock this event. FOR A MONTH. Two of us are working out a "punishment" for failure... so far I've come up with "the loser must host a tea party." We're cruel l...

Haha. I totally used to watch that.

I act fairly neuter. Like many of us commenting on this discussion, I like comedies and "guy" movies. Chick flicks make me gag a bit. Pink is a horrible bastard child of red and white and overused everywhere. I like orange and blue. Most people li...

Do any of your teachers have stickers in the windows of their classroom saying something like "LGBT SAFE ZONE" on them? Quite a few teachers at my school do. If there are any, I'd talk with them before any problems occur. If not, you might want to...

That's exactly how I feel every time I go in to a major store! I just rely on the internets now. I like your playlist, too! The Decemberists, Regina Spektor and Monty Python get an extra thumbs up from me.

Hi Betsy! Nice to meet another Tucson Nerdfighter! Thanks, I spent about 3o seconds picking a profile theme, so it's nice to get a compliment! Haha. I like your picture! Oh, and I totally agree with your taste in music. Whenever I hear people talking about popular music I get terribly confused...

Yeah I'm fine just stuck through the most boring period of biology; seeing how the volume of water affects the germination of cress seeds; ( ahh well now to relax and read a load of books in need to finish and return to the library! Anything more interesting than cress happening at your end??

What is this odd music that you listen to? I love to listen to new types of music or new bands that nobody else listens to. "Popular music" can be so boring and repetative.

I know exactly what you mean, and have the same trouble. However, I prefer having intelligent friends because my own intelligence is challenged. If my friends were unintelligent, I would most likely grow rather negligent in my language.

By the way, I believe the comma after "saying" is a personal choice, and you are absolutely right to go with "they're": "people" is plural, and both "he" and "she" are, of course, singular.

Thank you tremendously both for the compliment and the birthday wish: the latter is by no means tacky, but enormously appreciated. And another thank you for the befriending. It's always a supreme pleasure to meet people, especially those who are as interested in and aware of grammar as you seem to be.
