- About Me:
- My home-home is in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, but I am a freshman at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, hoping to major in English. I love reading and writing, and my hopes and dreams go in this order: go into seminary and become ordained, be a junior pastor, and write books that I wish I had had when I grew up. My backup plan? Become an editor, move my way up the publishing industry, and maybe, one day, own my own publishing house. OH. GO TO MY BLOG, PLEASE.
- Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
- Well duh, everything by John Green, Shakespeare, J. K. Rowling, and Judy Bloom. Also, every single Dear America, Royal Diaries, and American Girl book out there. They introduced me to my love of devouring literature. I also knew too much history for your average 5th grader. Also, while I don't really agree with the views he shares in His Dark Materials, Phillip Pullman is a really excellent author and I really respect his ability to tell a story. The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri is some of the best literature from Renaissance Italy. And, last but most certainly not least, Life of Pi by Yann Martel is the best book, right after the Bible. I suggest EVERYBODY to go read it, get it in some way RIGHT. NOW. It is beautiful, articulate, and to this day it leaves me thinking: was it all real? READ. IT. NOWWW.
