About Me:
I like to analyze and criticize in my blog posts. Most of my posts will look more like articles than the secrets of my daily life. For topics, I am interested in economics, government, Christianity, movies, games, webcomics, personality, and humor. Most of my articles focus on economics and government as I am part of the Government of Nerdfighteria project to organize a small government and eventually buy a private island for the Nerdfighters. Actually buying the island will be a while though.

I post most of my non-government Christianity articles in the Christian Nerdfighter's group, of which I am the owner.

I am very interested in small businesses, home businesses (especially involving the kids), and maker culture.
One home business which I follow is operated out of a blog called Generation Cedar. They asked their followers for some help advertising so I am linking to them here:
Click here to visit Generation Cedar.
I think that if you buy something from them, I get a commission. I don't need the money though.

If you have a home business which I might find interesting, send me a link. If I get too many of them, I might separate them out into a special blog post and link to it when necessary.

Virtual Currency on Facebook

I was writing about virtual currencies a while ago. They are interesting in that they can improve the welfare of all the people using them by increasing the efficiency of exchange within the group. Specifically, it would be easier to get a job or make money using a local currency than the dollar.

At the time, I was hard pressed to come up with examples. Facebook seems to be developing one though.…

Monopolies Using Antitrust Laws to Defend Themselves Against Potential Competitors

Sometime last year, I claimed in the forums that anti-trust law actually protects the large, monopolistic companies that it is supposed to prevent from developing.

I think that the anti-trust laws are harmful to competition in general, as I do for a lot of law, on the basis that true competition needs a very basic set of laws and that any law in addition to that and that any additional law favors companies with large, experienced, legal departments and the money to carry…

As far as coding goes, very little.  I have a working game definition and I'm working on getting a set to work.  As far as the game itself goes, I'm still ironing out how it should be played, but I have a few cards designed and a basic idea of the rules in my head.

Hm. Not on purpose; it's possible something happened to the blog comments by accident (I'm not a computer person) but I didn't intentionally turn them off. I'm not too thrilled by the school's move, but as far as it goes, I think I'll be okay. I've got a couple of posts that might be a tad more thoughtful than that last one, which was done in the heat of the moment.

On a different note, thanks for asking me about this. We don't know each other very well, and I can't tell you how much your concern means to me. You definitely remembered to be awesome. :)

I was reading the Gay Marriage forum in your Christian Nerdfighters group and was really encouraged by your biblical and well reasoned arguments, it was great to see some biblically sound doctrine! (I may be biased because I'm pretty sure I share your view almost exactly yay Baptists!)

It's too late to vote now, but thanks so much for your interest!

The Harry Potter Alliance supports LGBT rights and has done a lot to promote equal rights regardless of gender, race, or sexuality. They held a huge livestreaming/phone-banking/canvassing event in partnership with Mass Equality against Proposition 1 in Maine back in the fall, and will definitely do more in the future.

They're against global warming, of course, but The Harry Potter Alliance has worked a lot more with social issues thus far. Off the top of my head, I can't remember if they've done anything specifically about global warming, and I'm not sure whether or not they plan to in the future, but they don't deny that it exists or anything.

The Harry Potter Alliance does not support or promote any one political party.

All that being said, I'm not the best person to ask all these questions, because I don't have all the answers. If you want to know anything more, you should go on their website & email official staff. http://www.thehpalliance.org/

DFTBA.
