Hello musical soul mate :) But in all seriouness, I love most of the bands listed there. You should check out Sparklehorse, a LOT like Iron and Wine. All done by one guy with an acoustic guitar who likes to whisper instead of sing.

Wow, cool. Breaking things is always fun.
Sabrina? I vaguely remember that show... I remember there used to be a cartoon that I would watch, but I never watched the regular series, haha. So I take it you don't recommend it then?

Oh yes. Yes they should.

Agreed.

Oh, well that's a pretty fun year. I remember it was way better than middle school.

Nice. See that's smart. Whenever I tune an instrument, I just grab my tuner, tune, and then leave it there. So I bring it around to different instruments and stuff, but now I lost it.
Lol, for Christmas my dad bought my family a jumbo remote which is like a foot long and really big so that it's impossible to lose or mistake for any other gadget. It's great.

Oh yes, finding other non-rapists or non-rapefans is always hard to do. Haha.

Yeah, I can't believe the Summer's ending. That means school has to start. And school starting means I have to go to school and shit. Ugh.
So you're 14? Are you going to be a Freshmen?

Okay, thanks. I used to have a tuner, but I think I lost it... :(

Haha, nice. Well, hooray for not being raped...

Yeah, that might be where she got it. Six Flags is a pretty cool place, I haven't been there in a long time.

Okay, I think I'm going to try to learn again. I have to tune my guitar though.

Yeah, it seems to happen a lot in my group of friends.

Right, sorry about that, haha.

Okay, thanks. That sounds pretty cool.

By the way, I think my sister has the same snake that 's in your new profile picture. I forget if we won it at an amusement park or if we bought it.

Okay, well maybe if I get money I'll buy a new guitar and try to start learning again.

Wow, that sounds pretty awkward..

Yep. I'm actually really glad that my friends and I are diverse. It makes things so much more interesting. Except for music for some reason. I mean, a while back we all liked different music, but I think from us hanging out together and all that we've actually started to get the same music taste. When I first showed my friends Bo Burnham, they were like "wow, this is gay". But then they all went home and watched him again, and when I met them the next day they were like "Bo Burnham is awesome!" So that was pretty cool.

Oooh, that's cool. I'll have to see if I can get one. My parents don't want me to have one because they think I'm going to talk to strangers on the internet.
Haha, but I mean, I already do that, just not through video. They don't know about it though. My mom especially thinks that everyone online is out to rape me even though... (I really hope you don't intend on doing that, or my mom would be pissed).

So anyway, where does your brother go to college? I have to start thinking about where I want to go.

Nice, that sounds like a cool guitar. I have a "First Act" electric guitar sitting in my room. Sometimes I randomly strum it, but that's about it.

Ooooh, yeah, then that does suck. I mean, if you don't really want to do something, it's not like you're going to become an expert at it. Oh well, maybe she'll find out that she actually loves the clarinet and that her mom was a genius for forcing her to do it... or maybe not.

Ahaha, she would probably get pissed off. I don't know why though... I actually got some of my friends to call her on the phone and tell her that the song wasn't offensive. It was pretty funny.

Cool. Honestly, I enjoy decorating my room... well, the walls anyway. My floor is covered with random stuff everywhere, but my walls look pretty cool.
That sounds like a good sale. I wish I had been there, haha, I'd have bought a bunch and then used them as birthday presents to create more NPH awareness.

Nice. I totally agree. I love when my friends happen to like the same stuff as me... only it hasn't been happening as much lately. My friends are into fantasy sports leagues and I'm into comic books. Still, when the common ground is there, it's even more awesome.

That's cool. I wish I had a webcam so I could effectively use skype. Haha, then I'd be able to keep in touch with the people I meet who are obsessed with the things I'm obsessed with.

Ooh, nice. What kind of guitar do you have? Yeah, when I was trying to learn guitar I got blisters a lot. Eventually, I think I kind of gave up...
Oh, well it's cool that she keeps trying new instruments. Hopefully she gets it eventually. Haha, everyone kind of sucks when they start off, especially with wind instruments.

Two of my friends, who both gave up learning their original instruments from the 4th grade school band a few years ago, recently came to my house to learn to play piano. So basically I started teaching them the simple songs I learned from youtube. It was really cool actually, I have a really old keyboard in my room, and my family has a piano, and my friend has a cool modern keyboard, and we all put them in one room and started practicing. I felt like a music teacher (albeit a pretty bad one).

Yeah. Nice, your mom sounds pretty cool. Haha, my mom once found a song I wrote about getting teabagged in Halo, and for some reason she kind of flipped out on me. I mean, I curse in front of her all the time and I don't think she cares, but I guess because I wrote it down, she was mad or something.

That's really cool. I'm trying to get more posters in my room. I mean, my walls are covered with posters, but most of them are just things I happened to get for free, not necessarily things I'm a huge fan of. I don't feel it represents me enough yet. A Neil Patrick Harris poster would be awesome.

I went to a party at my friends house today, and we all watched How I Met Your Mother, and I was like "awesome, Neil Patrick Harris is in this!" and some of them were like "Yeah, I love him" but most of them didn't know who he was. But it was really funny because in the episode, he was pretty much completely naked with some objects covering up his penis, and he was striking different poses, and I was like "that guy. That's Neil Patrick Harris, isn't he awesome?"

Yep.

Oh, haha, yeah, the sax used to do that to me all the time. But I know kids who have to play like giant tubas and stuff, and other kids who have to carry heavy drums in the marching band and stuff, and I just feel lucky that I'm not them.
Hahaha, aw, I'm sure she's not that bad. I had a cousin who used to play trombone that um, wasn't very good either, so she gave her instrument to me. But I tried playing it, and I'm pretty sure I'm worse than she was, haha, so I guess it's all relative.

Nice! I love youtube. Yes, I agree, Bitches Ain't Shit has become my favorite song to play. Unfortunately, there are very few places I can play it and sing along to it and not get in trouble. One time (two days ago actually) me and my friends were in my house, and I was playing the song, and we were all singing it, and then my mom came home, and walked in, and she was like "what song were you guys singing" and we just kind of muttered until she went away.

Nice. Dude, I love Neil Patrick Harris, he is the man. After I watched Dr. Horrible, I started noticing him in everything I was watching. How I Met Your Mother, a Justice League cartoon, Prop 8 the Musical, and all these other things, but before that I didn't even know who he was.

Yeah, I got used to the dead bodies, but if there was a sad story or something, it was always kind of depressing.

Thanks, yeah, it was hard getting used to it. I'm actually not very good because I think I have small lungs or something. Other kids can hold notes out longer than me and all that. I also had to quit the track team because I felt like I was going to die after every practice.

Yeah, learning from youtube is fun. Um, I learned how to play The Office theme song, the intro to A Thousand Miles, Bitches Ain't Shit by Ben Folds, um, the intro to some other songs, Mr. Brightside, and Boston. Also, I learned the four chords from this video so now I feel like I can pretty much play anything. What do you know how to play?

Haha, I know exactly what you mean. I love it too. And I didn't actually meet anyone in real life who knew what it was until today actually. So yeah, I enjoy the online company of the nerdfighters too. Haha, I remember I was humming Laundry Day, or My Freeze Ray, or whatever it's called, and my friends were like "What's the from?" and I said told them "Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog". And they were all like, "Jason, I don't know what that is, but it sounds pretty fucking nerdy." And I told them they'd probably like it, but they didn't believe me. Haha.

It was cool and depressing at the same time, haha. I mean, I thought it was cool to see how work got done there, and I also liked getting people's reactions when I told them where I worked. But then there was also the fact that I had to be with dead bodies, and I got to hear sad stories about how they died and everything. Like one guy was only 25 when he died and he had a 3 year old daughter, and it was one of the saddest things I'd ever heard.
But yeah, better than stocking shelves.

Oh, that's really cool. I suck at pretty much all stringed instruments, so I have a lot of respect for anyone who can play them. I mean, I've always wanted to learn how to play one, but everytime I try, I pretty much fail.

I play the saxophone, and um, I'm trying to teach myself piano/keyboard... well, I'm mostly taking lessons from youtube which isn't exactly the best way to learn. But I know a few good songs, so it feels worth it.

Oh! You like Dr. Horrible? I love that! It's one of my favorite musicals and probably my favorite made-for-the-web movies.
