Typography (a rough first draft)
She loves every one of the multitude
of ways to type a single word yet
knows that her affection
is only twilight on a gold set font
while most forge the signature of new romans
every time they press a key.
It is a kind of mythology to press
into her technological mainframe of an age.
She pries up the computer keys to find
a withering old hand press up from underneath.

Dear Left Arm (a poem)
Dear Left Arm,
I am going to saw you off now.
Please don't take it personally.
We can hook up again later at the park.
I'll even let you catch the Frisbee a couple times.
But for now,
I'm trying to lovingly clasp this girl that I like
in the crook of your elbow
but I sense that your heart isn't in it
because all the blood has drained out
and you're poking my nerves with a safety pin.

Worldsuck and National Policies!! Why I get frustrated!!
