I'm a humble one, for when it comes to humility I'm the greatest ^_^ After all's abolished and as afterthoughts are actualized But before bees become bitter before bawling brown bears Casting constant capitulating cares covering careening cars cruising carelessly Down dover drive daring dr drews distressing dilemma ... well enough about me ^_^

Anything awesome? Nay, but the most ordinary of things for before anything can become awesome it must begin as ordinarly as anything else, no?

Chinese Philosophy according to Winnie the Pooh vs Twilight

Yes that's right.

No, you didn't misread that. Chinese philosophy according to that A.A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh. And of course Twilight's in there too. Though that actually has very little to do with Winnie the Pooh, this is actually a two parter post.

To begin, let me say that, yes, it is an original idea. And yes, you will find a book called The Tao of Pooh. Though that book was just recently released, while I have been touting the psychology and thought provoking ideas… Continue

Yo quiero!!!

Today in the library I kept thinking how the librarian looks like one of the actors on Reno 911. I know, I Know, it's not very intellectually stimulating, and might very well be placed on the same thresh hold as Twilight. But I'll watch it every once in a great while for an irreverent laugh. But that actor that plays Dangle, the one whose synonamous with bicycle shorts, is the first person that comes to mind whenever I see this particular librarian.

Then there's another show, but… Continue

How Much Would It Take For You To...

I was listening to a sermon from Loma Linda University and the senior pastor quoted Vernon Mcgee, another pastor from many many years ago. I won't really go into a whole detailed post about the sermon or what was said (because I likely couldn't quote it now) but the jist of what both pastors were talking about was the End Times and the clear cut choice everyone would eventually have to make in the end. And that got me wondering about life as it is today. When it comes down to it, what would you… Continue

Body Modification: Taboo or Alternative Art?

Today I was watching a show on the National Geographic Channel called Taboo. Now this show is fairly new, just a few months, but already has it touched on issues that have sparked controversy in my circles. Tonight's episode covered body modification. Things from a young woman who got her first horn implants to an UK gentleman who was the third person (known that is) to have one eyes iris completely blacked out with ink.

Personally, I think I would be able to hold a conversation with any… Continue

Quote of the Week

After hearing a sermon about carrying one's own cross, I remembered a quote from several years back that at it's core could be very Biblical? It's really quite ironic when you know where it really came from.

"It will be a hard life. A life without reward, a life without regret. A path will be placed before you, the choice is yours alone. Do what you think you cannot do. It will be a hard life, but you will find out who you are."
