True, but I've never published a novel before either, I could suck as well. lol
I kind of hate school too. Not the learning part, but I hate that high school is setup to value effort and how much time you spend on school over how much you have actually learned. It bothers me.
Also, even if your not IV league, those are still amazing ACT scores and you'll still get into an awesome school.
Admitting you don't know is the first step to knowing. Sorry, I'm feeling profound again, even though I'm not sure that makes sense. But whatever. Politics and music are both awesome careers. Politics because its a chance to decrease world suck. And music is just freaking awesome.
I can totally relate to the not knowing if you can make a living thing... I mean for a long time I was planning on majoring in English and being an author. But then I realized that being an author doesn't necessarily require a college degree. And also I'm just more interested in interior design, so I changed my major.
Both of which aren't particularly sensible, but interior design is the more sensible of the two.
P.S. Short wall posts are for losers. JK
The quote is at the top, in the little, green box thing. Its kind under and to the left of where it says "inside the mind of Tenley Nadine". And its okay, I'm challenged as well. I'm glad you liked the excerpt, I thought about posting more, but a) I'm not exactly positive whats gonna happen myself and b) that part is a pretty good description/back cover worthy part.
Script directors are fun. I'll make a deal, if one of my novels is ever published and it does extraordinarily well and someone wants to turn it into a movie and for some reason I have complete creative control and get to choose the script writer, I'll choose you. That's a good deal right? lol
Gross, crazy bitch teachers (which is partially what my novel is about? Coincidence... lol). You'll be fine. Which is one of those sentences that's probably true, but no one ever wants to hear and it probably only made you more nervous. Still, breath in... breath out...
*claps for your brilliance* Yeah, reading that I guarantee your finals will be fine. So basically you could go to a freaking IV league school... Which brings up a question, what do you want to do? Maybe you already told me... I don't remember. lol
Seriously though, congrats on your ACT score, the top ninety seventh percentile, OMG. Freaking amazing.
Of course I used our slogan, our slogan is awesome. tenleynadine.blogspot.com is where its at. I don't update incredibly often, sometimes, but I haven't recently with NaNoWriMo and all.
Pretty much the same thing here. I got a basic idea and went with it. I have no idea how it will end, or when it will end. I'm just going with it.
Script writing is awesome... although it probably doesn't help the word count thing. Because there's less random descriptions and imagery and what not. lol
It is a word... its the coolest word. And I'm really excited about it too, it should be fun. Things have been pretty busy and I'm ready to just slow down and write for awhile. Followed by a week or two finals and then a month off before next semester. That probably didn't help your jealousy. lol
Wow... on the long list of nerdy things to say, "I'm more of an SAT girl" is near the top. Congrats.
Done. Our slogan, unless special permission is granted. Also, I totally changed the title of my blog to include the slogan. That's how much I love it.
Yeah, I'm at that part two. I'm just kind of winging it, if I'm in a good mood, good things happen. If I'm in a bad mood, one my characters may die. lol Which is one of the great things about NaNoWriMo, winging it is encouraged!
I have like 9600 words or something like that and HOPEFULLY I'll get to 10000 before I go to bed. Because that would be awesome.
Yeah, sports... not a good idea. Thanksgiving is awesome! Especially because I have a full week off.
Aww... junior year, fun times... kinda. The ACT pretty much sucks, but I'm sure you'll do fine.
All the awesome people can use the awesome slogan. Wait... did I just open that up to the whole ning, yeah I did. Crap... that's a lot of sharing. jk
Woohoo! Yay for getting writing done. I haven't gotten much done this weekend, I did a little but I kind of reached what Maureen Johnson calls, "the middle". I don't know if you saw that post of hers but basically the middle is just the middle of your story where you spend 99% of your time. And you also tend to get writers block most in this area. Fortunately I don't have class tuesday because a basketball game of ours is gonna be on ESPN (I'm not sports person so this doesn't really excite me as much as it probably should). Also, thanksgiving break starts in a week, so that should help.
Yeah, confusing, crazy their kind of the same, night really at all. lol
Thanks, as are you.
Awesome, keep positive and when that doesn't work throw things at him... *awkward* I'm sorry I was trying to come up with advice, but I'm tired. lol
AHHH! Mine. *holds slogan close to heart* *looks around* Well okay, we can share. lol
Confusing, crazy... its all the same. No not really, but it made a nice comment. lol
That epically sucks. Kind of reminds me of a situation that just happened to my sister (they both like each other, but he's having a rough time and a relationship wouldn't be a good idea). Argh... I don't know. I suppose my advice is to give it time, but try not be uber pissed at him. Because a) he did say he likes you and b) at some point he'll probably be done with the "i can't have a relationship" phase so logically, c) he will eventually ask you out. But then again, when has dating ever co-existed with logic?
BTW, thanks to John for introducing me to the concept of lists within sentences. Fangirl much? (that should be my slogan, its perfect).
Been there. People always say girls are the ones with mood swings, but guys do the same thing. One minute their awesome and the next you want to punch them. Argh...
Its okay, I'm still like 9000 words behind to, its moving, slowly, but its moving. Good luck with your novel though, keep me posted.
Profoundness FTW!
Aww... drama. Drama sucks, sorry, that's not helping. Boys are silly...
*claps for attempted optimism*
