I love art, history and literature (in any combination and not necessarily in that order)..
I love to make things with my hands; any medium will do.
Drawing, painting, quilting, knitting, sculpting.
I devour fiction; most especially fantasy, mystery and horror.
I work in my local University Archives department mostly because I love it there, but also because as an artist you cannot live off of your artwork; only your relatives can after you die.
I am an eternal hobby historian, and I spend as much time reading historical non-fiction as I do fiction.
The Celts, The Vikings, Medieval and Renaissance history.
Oh, yes, I am also obsessed with witchcraft, magic and mythology in general.
When I need to heal myself I retreat into nature.
I am going to school at night, working during the day, and in desperate need of a vacation.
I drop into the Ning at random points during the day when I should probably be using the valuable five minutes for something far less enjoyable.
Ah, yes, and I'm a *proud* Canadian.
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
Okay, I'm going to come back to this question with a well organized list.
Its on my list of things to do.
I am attempting to organize by books on LibraryThing (My user name is EveWasFramed: Leave me a message there!).
What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
My conical witch hat (I believe I've earned it).
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
I'm a big fan of Kim Harrison, and H.P. Lovecraft.
As for salem, I'm there a considerable amount, but I've only been to the museum once, and that as some time ago. The town itself is amazing though. It's like you can feel the age to it.
hello! and happy Samhain!
I'm always excited to meet a fellow wiccan nerdfighter, as you're right there are so few of us! I noticed that you're a fan of mystery and horror fiction, do you have any favorite authors? personally I read a lot of Laurell K. Hamilton. :)
oop your comment slipped by me. wow you are busy, is it fun busy? i understand the procrastinatey nature of the net, so no worries. my summer has been pretty good, weather was nice, some cool festivals and lots of sunscreen lol. how are you holding up?
I made the under-part of the costume, and my mom made the over-dress. (It was originally for a school concert, and we were pressed for time)
P.S. Half the people in my hometown think I already AM a librarian, mostly because I have a tendency to help small children find books that they can't remember the titles of, and I practically LIVE at the library when I'm not at college.
Man, I hear you - I work full time... and I'm still broke. I really want to be a librarian, so I'm thinking I should start school within the next few years. >.< I give myself until I'm 30 to finish school and have kids... Assuming that that works with my life. If not, you know, re-evaluate. But that's the plan. Currently not many places offer courses for library sciences...
