It's raining really hard right now. Like, I can hear it, and normally you can't hear the rain on the roof in this apartment. We had tornado watches and threats of hail and all kinds of stuff today. Tons of fun.

Furies of Calderon is pretty cool so far. I'm only on page 54 and have only a vague idea of what's going on, but it's pretty interesting. The person who I at first thought was the main character wasn't and now there's a different main character. I suspect the two of them will meet up soon and then everything will go to hell and they'll end up on a nation-wide journey to save…

So, I'm planning to keep this one pretty short because I don't want to stay up too much later - I have to get up a little earlier than I usually do on Wednesdays for an advising appointment and I don't want to miss it.

It turns out that neither Lauren nor I have our Lord of the Rings books up here, so I won't be reading those just yet. Instead, I have selected 3 books, one of which I will read. I'll decide here shortly when I read before going to bed. The three books are:…
