- I earned a B.A. in Politics with a minor in History in May 2008 (I wrote a forty-plus page thesis comparing Stoicism and Utilitarianism). I took two years off to apply for a higher degree, working as a para-educator in a special education classroom whilst doing so. I am now a second-year political science graduate student at Purdue University (GO BOILERMAKERS!!!). I'm pretty open and like learning and hearing about any and everything, but politics and civil rights are big passions of mine. I have eclectic tastes, as demonstrated by my playlist. I like debate, but only when it's productive and civil and about the ideas and not the people. I hate cancer. I'm Native American, although I don't look it upon first glance because my hair and skin are light. Uh... I really dislike these "about me" sort of things... My blog is just that, a blog, so if you don't agree with what I say, that's fine, just don't be a jerk about it; and also keep in mind that it's sometimes written in the throws of emotion or in the midst of a long thought, so if I ramble or rant, and if that bothers you, don't read. Otherwise, comment and what-have-you as much as you like.

Obama v. the Supreme Court
Unfortunately, I highly doubt the masses are going to be smart enough to realize he couldn't make them vote how he wanted. And this will be used as ammunition against him. I for one was outraged when I found out about the ruling. I hope what he says here will resonate and impact some of the thick-skulled people that say he's "totally ineffective" and "hasn't done shit" and all that kinda jazz.
