For those who understand that tea is the answer to all of life's questions. For those who use tea leaves. For those who use teabags. For those who haven't quite mastered the art of 'the perfect cuppa'. For those who just like tea. This is for you.
Hallo! I'm Gabrielle (don't call me gabby, or else :) and I am of the writing species of nerdfighter. I am also part of the teenage girl species of nerdfighter. I write short stories, and and in the process of outlining a novel I'm writing for fun. I just moved, so the only nerdfighter fried I had is 12 hours away from me :( It doesn't help that I'm virtual schooled, but I wouldn't change that fact at all. It gives me more time to read and write. Did I mention I'm a reader? I love urban fantasy, specifically Cassandra Clare's books. Of course, I adore John's books, with my favorite being either Looking for Alaska, or Paper Towns. Probably Looking for Alaska. That was the first book that has ever made me cry. Also, while we're on the subject of books, read 13 Reasons Why. Just read it please; it was the second book that ever made me cry. I've just recently started reading manga, and have read the first Sailor Moon, working on Vampire Knight, and working on Black Bird. (Any recommendations are welcome because I still feel lost in the manga section of the bookstore.)I am a classically trained (ABT curriculum for you dancer) ballet dancer who is trying to get back into dance after a stress fracture/move/parents divorce/chonic depression/anxiety and financial issues. Also, I tend to be a very introverted person, and that's why I work so well with virtual school/homeschool. If I am forced into a group for schoolwork or anything like that, I will automatically take the lead. I just do, and always have, and no one has ever bothered me about it. Also, I'm a bit of a gamer. I'm not the best, but I play GW2, WoW, and Magic. And yes, I have a few WoW t-shirts. Fun Fact about me: I am a terrible speller. Fun Fact number two: I have a chronic condition called Eosinophilic esophagitis that is sort of-not really-but sometimes controlled on meds. I plan to do charity work or something of the sorts for it when I'm older, because it is a very recently discovered condition with no treatment or cure. (The meds I take are for asthma, which I don't have, but the doc seems to think it will help even though it's not actually for EE.) Fun Fact number three: I would totally dye my hair a crazy candy color, or at least the underside of it, if I wasn't a dancer.
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
I already listed most in my blurb, but I'll list them again.
Books: Anything by Cassandra Clare, anything by John Green, 13 Reasons Why, Beautiful Creatures, The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flammel series, Divergent series, Hunger Games of course, and many others.
Movies: I don't like seeing movies. There, I said it. The only movies I have seen that were not book adaptations were the Pirates of the Carrabian movies, and I plan on seeing Argo. That's about it. If I think of any other movie besides book adaptations I have watched, I will post them here. (Even though I generally don't like movies, I am fascinated by the movie making process.)
Music: Don't listen to a lot, but here goes. I generally like dubstep for when gaming, but I really like WoW's music generally. I like Florence and the Machine, Imagine Dragons, ummm, can't think of any others off the top of my head. Mind blank. I'll come back to this later.
