I agree, this is a really deep question. My Worst Day: The day I had to go up to my Dads house, at night, in the rain and mud, and put down my horse, Spot. My Best Day: The entirety of July 18th, 2009 and the 8 or so hours preceding it. I feel kin…

:O We had exactly the same idea! I'm doing my own take on the EBO, because I think it's such a great idea. From what you have posted our stories aren't very similar, expect for the time travel element, of course. It's kind of fun knowing I'm not th…

What Be Your Nerd Type?
Your Result: Literature Nerd

Does sitting by a nice cozy fire, with a cup of hot tea/chocolate, and a book you can read for hours even when your eyes grow red and dry and you look sort of scary sitting there with your insomniac appearance? Then you fit this category perfectly! You love the power of the written word and it's eloquence; and you may like to read/write poetry or novels. You contribute to the smart people of today's society, however you can probably be overly-critical of works.
It's okay. I understand.

NaNo Oh No

I did NaNo last year, and I cannot believe I'm going to torture myself again this year.

I blame John Green.

I was gonna give myself a break this year, chill out, focus on school and work and friends. I can remember the frustration, the horror and hatred I felt towards my novel during November last year. I vividly recall adding about 1,000 words to my novel about how much I hated my novel (it still counts!). Despite college, work, Thanksgiving, and life in general, I am, once again, going to at… Continue

It will definitely be a lot of work. Right now we're just figuring out all the little rules and details, as well as planning out the official launch video. We might be lucky enough to get an interview on a local radio station after the project is running, so that's quite exciting.

i write drama mostly, some fantasty/sci-fi stuff (not the stuff in space or in places that don't exist with people whose names you can't pronounce) i tried a comedy, and a thriller thing, it sort of worked.

i've done 2 novels, working on a 3rd, and like 9 feature length movie scripts.

Well, so far I've read Devilish and Suite Scarlett by her. I think I would definately recomend Suite Scarlett more, but they are very different books. Devilish you have some fantasy mixed in with everything where Suite Scarlett is strictly realistic fiction...but Scarlett is pretty funny. I laughed my way through most of it.

I know what you mean by being freaked out by Poe’s stories. I was a little freaked out after reading The Fall of the House of Usher and had to convince myself I wasn‘t hearing anybody as I tried to fall asleep in my bed.

Extremely Loud and Incredibly close is about a 9 year old boy genius named Oskar Schell who’s father died in the 9/11 Twin Towers travesty. He then finds a key and a note that was addressed to his father, and Oskar goes on a mission to locate what lock the key fits in. It’s a lot better than what I’ve described it, because Foer’s writing style is so unique. Foer’s second book is Everything is Illuminated, which is about the main character, Jonathan Foer, searching for a place in Russia called Trachimbord.

DFTBA Gini!

Hej Gini! Thanks for the "friending"!

It's nice to see Great Gatsby on a Nerdfighters favorite book section. I haven't seen that book on anyones favorites up until now. We're you required to read it for school or did you read it on your own? I had to read it for school, and I actually enjoyed it (generally I use to extremely dislike any school required reading material...but some how I ended up enjoying the Great Gatsby). Fitzgerald FTW!
