When you guys saw David Tennant in GOF did any one else immediately think cross over??

I knew deep down it wasn't, but it was my first thought i must admit. I think i put too much thought into it: i decided that he poses as Barty Crouch Jr in a parallel universe (just for shits and giggles or possibly to overturn the death eaters from the inside)...and therefore this is why we didn't get our hogwarts letters! we are simply in the wrong universe! And as for J.K...a companion who visited this universe with him!(it took me ages to decide weather this should be in the harry potter…See More

What Kind of Nerdfighter Are You?
Harry Potter / Dr Who/ Gamer/ Computer Nerdfighter
About Me:
I come from a tiny town in country NSW, where there is a definate lack of awesome and a great abundance of cows.
Im not really doing much at the moment, just working, looking for a better job.
I really like art, and making things, clothing in particular.
I would love to try to start up a small clothing business,it would be nice to make some cash out of something i love. The type of clothing varys quite a bit, its more so creative than tring to look a particular way, it's all made from re-designed fabrics and clothing found in opp shops so its green and one of a kind, but usually a bit alternative fashion i guess.
I also have a rather keen interest in IT, i've always been a computer and internet geek, i like the way you can create worlds, and communities where time, space and distance can mean nothing if you want them too.
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
Books: Harry Potter, Ann Rice, Dan Brown, Sci-fi, Horror, fantasy.
Music: everything, but ill always have a soft spot for punk, metal and wrock.
What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
Washing baskets, (they make me feel like a turtle)
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
Columbia? I mean can you get much more awesome than that?...(that was a rocky horror reference, incase you missed it)

Dabbling is highly recommended, also using sisters' computers (am using sister's internet). IT sounds like a good investment, also becoming as amazingly geeky as possible. I recently killed my computer to the point where three electrical engineers couldn't keep the data, and now it's all clean, hard drive wiped and eurgh. Still, pretty good it still works. I did a supplementary IT subject for a year. We learned MOSTLY how to use microsoft office (seriously) and the teacher looked and sounded like George Lucas (which was an EXCELLENT diversion). Though the exam had this section on binary-ASCII translation (not a microsoft office thing we'd studied), and I was all YES, I KNOW THIS. And so I did the whole section, knowing full well it hadn't been taught to anyone else. But then they realised that after the exam and didn't count marks from that section. My disappointment, so much.

I've been sitting here perplexed (on a rocking horse) for ages because I cannot decide. I'm gonna say Hank. If only for his song on his ulcerative colitis. But John, all wise and sagely. Explosions, songs and science have decided it for me. Yep.

It is a freaking awesome job. And even for just meeting similarly interested people, that course was worth it. Melbourne's brilliant, heaps of little cafes/bars with live music, massive op shops, low admission prices to little shows of big name comedians in their off-season rehearsal shows, FESTIVALS, and the city seems to have an inferiority complex about sydney. Hilarious articles in the newspapers along the lines of "we sent a journalist to sydney to see which city was better". And comparative lists. And profiles of Melbournites versus Sydney-siders. Just about every Melbournian would ask me which city I liked better. Sydney people generally have no idea what it is happens in Melbourne. But yeah, Melbourne's lovely, especially during a festival.

Aww centrelink, when will you learn to treat people nice. What're you studying?

i can really get behind a town based on beer and meat, that should be written into the town manifesto/thing.

I make pictures/animations. It is for money, it's pretty decent but not enough to qualify as 'for a living', but I'm saving up and it looks nice accumulating in the bank. Just finished a music video animation for a German man/band/thing and did a big group portrait thing for a New York man. Both jobs acquired through youtube and facebook. Internet FTW!

But yeah, living at home, no rent, just freelancing, living the dream. I just finished studying last year, Diploma of Illustration, in Melbourne. It was so much fun, two years, great teachers, nice cheap fees, and Melbourne is such a brilliant place if you ever get the chance to go/stay there for a bit. Spent my life savings on that (plus some parental benevolence money because centrelink didn't think I qualified for anything. i put in all the forms, three times, and the most i was eligible for was 44c a fortnight. There used to be a clause where you got money for studying away from home because the course was not available near to you. Then they got rid of the clause, just before I moved there. pooheads.) But even with all that, and rent, studying Illustration in Melbourne was cheaper than studying it in Sydney. Yeah!

land of cows, that's a pretty good thing to be famous for. AND a parade. AND reassuringly far away from banora point. are there lots of cows, or just a town that got built because it used to be lots of cows? and does it HAVE a casino? or a lone pokie machine?

my town's panania, it has saturday markets selling lavender scented things, pot plants, hats, knitted thing (lots of old ladies in panania) and a massive second hand book stall (AND SOMEONE IN PANANIA KEEPS CHUCKING OUT THEIR SCIENCE FICTION ILLUSTRATION BOOKS. THEY ARE SO GOOD!) I may have to ask the stall guy and find out who they are, because I think I may have been buying everything they have donated.

also there's an art deco cinema that's been turned into a church. it had a blue neon cross on the top, then they did renovations to make it look a bit more art deco again, then too many people missed the blue neon cross (either the hordes of elderly people couldn't navigate their way to the church without it, or panania just has an inherent sense of humour regarding neon signs on churches) so they put it back on top.
