"I'm hopefully headed to Calgary next year, otherwise it's whenever an opening appears and i can transfer. I can't wait to get to know Canada. I'm sure it'll be confusing but at least it's a completely new experience. :-)"
"I had a friend who watched it all the time. It took a few episodes to get past the cheesy visuals, but then I was hooked. I didn't start watching it 'live' until series 5 though, the rest was through netflix. Now I'm fully…"
"When I started my new job we had to get safety glasses even though I'd never be in the field. so I got transitions lenses to try them out. I was heading to Abu Dhabi for 6 weeks and thought it would be helpful. Overall, it's 50/50. I liked…"
"Absolutely. Will you consider taking classes? We're about to begin discussion on the Eckhart Tolle book The Power of Now with anyone who wants to join in. In the academy we're starting the first level of study on the Jedi code. And of…"
"yeah, never a good idea to rush into that. My wife and I were together almost 5 years before getting married (though it wasn't legal before then anyway) but it still brought up all sorts of weird subconscious beliefs and issues that had to be…"
"I, like many others, started watching with the new series, though I didn't start until it was in series 4 I think. I've tried watching old episodes but there aren't many available on streaming and I don't have the money to buy…"
I'm a Jedi. I spend most of my free time building the foundation for the Jedi path. When I make time I love to read things to inspire and entertain me. I want to reconnect with my awesomeness. :-)
In personal news, I'm married. My wife and I have been together for 12 + years, in spite of countless challenges with her health. We have two awesome cats. I work as a seismic data processor which I can only describe as taking the data that comes from shooting down waves into the ground and making them look pretty and represent the structure of the earth. I really enjoy it, like solving a puzzle most days. Frustrating but also the most rewarding job I've had.
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
Where to start? Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Bones, Buffy, NCIS - things that help me feel like no matter how bad it gets, we endure and we can find a way to make it better. Reading is mostly sci-fi and fantasy fiction and spiritual non-fiction. I love Orson Scott Card's writing, though disagree with him politically. Discovered Lev Grossman this year, along with Terry Pratchett and Veronica Roth. Music used to be everything to me, now I just don't have much time for it. I like authenticity in music. I crave it. Music speaks to the soul, and I have little time for inauthentic soul communication. My tastes vary, but most likely if it's authentic and not all negative I'll like it. Unless it's all electronic stuff thrown on top of an authentic performance, that kills it for me.
What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
How do you choose? Right now, Doctor Who is tops I think.
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
