Examples of this? The Beatles, The Who and other classic rock bands. My friends are creeped out by it and the only place I really feel at home is online because of that and a few other quirks.

Catcher In The Rye

I finished and it was FANtastic. I absolutely loved it, despite my sister squawking in my ear how awful it is. She never appreciates quality in books. She can only finish if there is something happening the whole time. As soon as action dies down a bit, she looses interest. Blech.
Anyway, I thought the book was really great. Anyone else finished yet or has read it previously (and enjoyed it or hated it)?

George Harrison (of The Beatles, of course) has a very penetrating look in his eyes AT LEAST 50% of the time. At first it seems bored, but, if you just look at him, it's like he's looking into your soul. And that's just in a video!! I can't imagine what it must've been like to just sit and talk to him in real life. I love it when he smiles, though. That is much less penetrating. It's actually sort of pretty.

I have DFTBA written across my knuckles, that way I will not forget to be awesome until the sharpie washes off.
Fortunately, sharpie does not wash easily from my skin, because sharpie clings to awesomeness.
