- Oh my. I... I just don't know where to start. (Or end.) how about a few favorite authors instead of books? Lloyd Alexander, Dianna Wynne Jones, Anne MCaffrey, Jane Austen, L.M. Montgomery, Neil Gaiman, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, George R.R. Martin, Suzanne Collins, Maureen Johnson, Melina Marchetta and I haven't read beyond excerpts of John Green's books yet, but I'll be getting some for Mother's Day and I KNOW he'll be on the list. Those are the authors that really stand out for me.
As for movies and tv, I'm a Whedonite (though I'm just now starting on Buffy and won't touch anything horror-ish), I'm a Whovian, I love Sherlock and Downton Abbey and Eureka and Big Bang Theory and Sanctuary and Stargates of every kind. I'm a Geek and Sundry subscriber and pretty much want to be Felicia Day when I grow up. I'm a sucker for I adore most modern-ish Jane Austen adaptations, but not the latest Pride & Prejudice, which I can't bring myself to watch. There are plenty of other things, but that's what comes to mind right now.
Music isn't my passion, but I think it's pretty vital. If there's no music playing, my brain will provide some. When I put something on, it's usually classic rock (which includes 80s, these days, and makes me feel a little old) or oldies or even some stuff from the last couple decades, which I didn't really listen to when it was new, but have come to like. I also adore bagpipes. I could almost be led to war by bagpipes. They are dangerously incendiary.
More? Um. Webcomics: Subnormality is my favorite, but I like several others, too. Kind of getting sick of listening to myself talk, though. Games: I like board games, card games, word games. That's got to be good enough for now, right? Too much, you say?
