What Kind of Nerdfighter Are You?
Literary Nerdfighter
About Me:
I'm currently attempting a New Year's resolution in which I will not watch any video media (video games, Youtube, movies, TV) except on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I'm not sure how long it will last, though...my strength is already wearing thin!
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
I'm a fantasy geek, so I read a lot of Harry Potter and various other science fiction novels. John's books aren't my usual literary fare, but still made of awesome.
What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
Books! They improve posture!
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
I'd dance with Hank and John themselves, of course!

Leave Teenagers Alone!

I apologize for my lack of information as of late. I suppose that I've been busy with my swim team, schoolwork, and the like, but... hilarious YouTube videos certainly haven't helped matters. I simply wanted to chime in (or, more appropriately, rant about) John's comments about people who like to treat teenagers like overly hormonal simians.

Nerdfighting Has Educational Value?!

Today, I have discovered the extent of awesome can even reach into the dark, sucky world of education!

In order to complete my etymology homework, I had to come up with a word using the Greek prefix "ana", which can mean up, on, again, or apeice. (Is "apeice" really even a word?) Anyway, this left me completely stumped; the only word I could think of was "Ana" as in a girl's name.

But, suddenly, the power of awesome appeared to save the day! My thoughts naturally drifed to Nerdf

My Journey into the Bowels of World Suck

Hello to my thousands of adoring fans!

....*cricket chirps*....

Well, hello to my five new friends, at least. Thanks for reading my blog! Now that I know that I could featured on the front page, the Town Square of Nerdfighteria, I promise not to dissapoint. Er, try not to dissapoint.

Anyway, I have only recently been set free from the chains of one of the dullest "vacations" I have ever traveled on. (Yes, I know that ends in a preposition, but if you can better phrase thi

New Year's Resolution Survival: Day One

In case you didn't bother to read my profile, I'm making a valiant attempt to forego any visual entertaniment (television, movies, video games, Youtube) on weekdays in order to improve my literary knowledge...and I don't think I'll last much longer.

I love to read to the extent that I have fantasies about beoming a writer, but TV just seems so much more accesible and easy to watch. Even when I know there is nothing of intrest to view, I flip up and down the channels for hours in a desp

Karen! How's things eh? I just wanted to drop by and say hello...and to recommend a few books, just in case you need something to distract you and keep you in line with that New Year's Resolution of yours, just in case you haven't caved yet :) Anyhoo, Ender's Game! Just read it for the second time and remembered just how amazing it was! And then I read the parallel and companion book Ender's Shadow for the FIRST time...WOW!!
I'm also quite excited to know that there are three books in the Ender series, AND three more books in the Shadow series. So here's a list of books for you to read, if you haven't already!
Ender's Game
Speaker For The Dead
Xenocide
Children Of The Mind

Ender's Shadow
Shadow Of The Hegemon
Shadow Puppets
Shadow Of The Giant

heh, sorry for the long comment, but I just finished Ender's Shadow and can't help but gush! OK....
ready, set, GO!!
