Profile Information

What Kind of Nerdfighter Are You?
Christian Terry Pratchett Neverwinter Nights Nerdfighter!
About Me:
I'm a librarian, which is way up there on the nerd scale, hurray! And I'm British, and it just gets better from there! I love everything nerdy, and strive every day to be a better nerd, thus decreasing world suck.

Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
Anything by Terry Pratchett, Tamora Pearce, Guy Gavriel Kay, Robin Hobb or Dick Francis, Regeneration by Pat Barker, the Bartimeaus trilogy by Jonathan Stroud, the time traveller's wife by Audrey Niffeneger, the Stephanie Plum novels by Janet Evnovich. And I start 'Looking for Alaska' tommorrow!
What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
Santa hat
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
My flatmates, who are all made of awesome. I think if we did our happy dances at the same time, world suck would cease to exist, for a short time anyway.
When did you start watching the Vlogbrothers?

Yeah, I've been tagged! Woo! Now, what to say about myself...

1. I like climbing high things, even though I'm terrified of heights

2. When I go to University later this year, at Norwich, I'll be a mature student (Snerk!)

3. I've been a Christian for 6 years now. Woah!

4. I'm obviously a very boring person, cos I'm struggling with this now...

5. I work in a music library, but can't read sheet music! I like CDs though.

I shall be… Continue

Awesomeness #3

1. 3 blog posts in one day, and only one of them was complaining!

2. My friends have been supportive beyond all measure, and I love them very much.

3. I rang my boss to get the day off, (Wee bit short notice) and couldn't get through to her, so rang 2nd in command, who was like "Of course you need to go, we'll cover it, no problem. And if you're too tired on Wednesday, don't come in." See 'Awesomeness #1' for how much I love those guys.

4. I bought an X-Box 360, and got…

Right, I don't really want to go into a whole spiel here, but basically I came home, and rubbishness happened. Not even that bad, compared to other stuff that has happened the last few years, but combined with all the other little niggly things that have gone wrong this week and last, it kinda felt like the last straw. I came into work on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and my apparantly slightly psychic colleague took one look at me and said "You're not alright, are you? You're pale, and…

Um, Awesomeness, I guess

So it's been a while since I did one of these, 'cos I was struggling to pick the silver lining out of the shattered ruins of my weekend last week. But I was hopeful this week, because Saturday was so incredible! Then I came home and talked to my Dad, and everything went to crap. But I'll do that in another blog, it doesn't belong here.

1. Saturday was completely amazing. I'm helping to run a holiday club at my church over Easter holidays, but the only decent Christian bookshop in…

Awesomeness #2

1. Today was indeed a day of awesome. I had a lie-in, a lovely long shower, played Neverwinter Nights, then spent the day shopping with a friend. Which could have been awkward, cos of various problems, but was actually wonderful, and lovely, and really helpful. Hurrah! Then I came home and had food cooked for me, and watched Match Point (Woody Allen directed, fabulous, bit of a shock ending) and was greeted by a letter from Norwich Uni asking me to interview, which is great! I don't really…

Aha! Someone who hasn't been tagged!
Now you have to write a blog (or make a video if you desire) and say 5 things about yourself, then tag 5 other people!

Oh cool, I love Fawlty Towers and tea! I wish we got the BBC; I would watch it all the time. I used to love Bargain Hunt and Cash in the Attic. (I hope you weren't offended by my comment; I'm just absolutely obsessed with all things British!)
