"Well to be honest, I kind of prefer snail mail. xD Something about waiting for letters and thoughtfully writing them out in cursive just makes communicating more exciting to me."

"Lol I've actually folded towels before. And I think that was the book, but I honestly dont remember too much about it, other than it was sad and made me wish humans could just get along, and that the girl dies. ;_;"

Profile Information

What Kind of Nerdfighter Are You?
A music loving, hippie-punk-rock vegetarian nerdfighter, who is very opionated.
About Me:
My name is Katelyn and I'm from Texas. I love music (particularly classical, traditional eastern, alternative, punk, and indie rock) and traveling. I want to do too many things, like learn guitar and French, fold 1000 paper cranes (I'm at around 400) and get my motorcycle license, but there just isn't enough time in the day. Besides all of that I guess my personality would best be described as eccentric and eclectic, outgoing but emotionally detached. Basically one of those people that's like a piñata- you know there's stuff inside, you just don't know what (even I don't sometimes :S).
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
Book: The Fault In Our Stars by John Green
Movie: Amélie (best movie EVER)
Song: Right now it's "It's Too Late" by The Great Lake Swimmers
TV Show(s): Sherlock, Phineas and Ferb, MLP Friendship is Magic, Adventure Time, My Strange Obsession, etc. (I'm in TV Production, so I watch a lot of tele)
What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
Sunglasses definately. Or maybe angel wing earrings? I can't decide! D:
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
John Lennon and Mahatma Gandhi.
When did you start watching the Vlogbrothers?
May, 2010
Make up your own DFTBA initialism!
I hereby swear on the honor of all things Nerdy to decrease suck the multiverse over in anyway possible and to maintain the Nerdfighter code, which is Don't Forget to Be Awesome.

Wait, this book you read. Was it about a little girl who dies from the radiation left from when the bombs were dropped? She tries to fold the cranes in the hospital but never makes it to 1000? That was the book my teacher read to us in eighth grade art when we learn about origami.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I prefer regular paper, but I've tried to fold other material like napkins. They don't work so well for origami... Especially the cloth ones.... o-o

Haha, if was a similar situation for me, but I wasn't an aid. I was in the library and I was perusing the new-books self and saw the cover. Looked like my type of book so I gave it a try and loved it. I just never understood it quite as deeply as you did. I had just gotten into reading, so I sort of stayed on the surface? Haha, I don't know, you seem really smart though, for seeing the deeper meaning. :)
And you're trying to fold a 1000 paper cranes? Dude, I fold paper cranes all the time. I just don't keep track of the number, to hard to remember where I'm at. XD I just fold when I have paper that's not important. When did you start? And what kind of paper do you use?
