- Hi, my name is Katherine. Kathy to a few special people, Kat to my friends, and Kappi to family. I will be 30 years old this July. I'm a nerd and a tomboy and a mom. I like to paint and draw and write. I am an aspiring movie buff. I like tv series on DVD so I can watch them back to back without commercials. I will kick your butt at scrabble. I love to cook, and I love playing video games. I am confident and happy most of the time. I really like my life and feel very lucky to be.
I am engaged and in a 7 year relationship with a man who is the father of my two beautiful children. He is my match, and my friend. He is also my business partner along with our friend Max. We own a very nerdy gaming store in Tacoma Washington called "House of Flying Monkeys." It's a great store and getting better all the time mostly due to Aaron's hard work.
I don't like closed minded people. I don't like people who hurt other people. I'm a liberal, and not very political. I hate the news because it's too damned deppressing and also full of lies. I prefer movies and fantasy to reality. Call me a pansy if you want, I just want to be happy.
I don't like drama unless it's wrapped in comedy. Confidence and intelligence and knowing who you are is sexy. I like people who like themselves, even if they don't allways know it, and most of all people who can laugh at themselves.
I love my friends, because my friends are awesome fascinating people who belong one and all as characters in some rockin graphic novel.
I have no time for shallow people with no sense of humor. If you have to be serious all the time, and can't take a lighthearted joke aimed at you, don't bother talking to us. Geek Chic is growing, but we can spot a wannabe from a mile away, because being a geek takes years of ninja training, and in many cases years of suffering at the hands, and mouths of people who are terrified of us and our strength. We do what they can't. We love freely, see life freely, and pee freely.... um.... I was going somewhere with this....oh yeah.
So don't shun the geeky! JOIN US! we will teach you in the ways of the force. The potential is there to be free. The potential to boldly go, where awesome people laugh about everything, and enjoy videogames pizza and mountain dew!
