Classic Rock, Folk and Geology Nerd. I also like cats, words and bad puns.
I'm a Geologist currently studying towards a BSci (hons) in Earth sciences at Glasgow uni - I graduate in June.
I love reading, films, bad tv, good music, cats, ale, knitting and the outdoors. I sing and play the flute in a prog/classic rock/folk/blues/ceilidh band.
I'm moving to Kingston, Ontario, Canada in September.
I'm not terribly politically minded, and mostly I just vote for whoever has the best green policy and whoever doesn't want to have people killed. But I am a HUGE believer in Equal rights for every single human being. I don't care what colour, religion, size, gender identity, sexuality or even hair colour you are, you're the same as me. You deserve the same rights and I'll help fight for them. Obviously if you're a giant asshat I'll promptly ignore you and you can fight for yourself but mostly my positions stands.
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
I love anything written by Terry Pratchett, Monstrous Regiment and Thud! are my favourites and I'm getting a tattoo of the mine sign from Thud! with my friend in August. I like horror, fantasy and mystery/thriller books. And I love classics like Pride and Prejudice (my copy is falling to pieces now!) and The Odyssey. My book collection isn't HUGE but I'm three books away from having all of Terry Pratchett's main discworld series completed. My mum is a librarian so that helps. I also am a large Tolkien fan, and I couldn't be more excited for the Hobbit film to come out.
My favourite films include CLASSICS like Tangled, Kill Bill, Labyrinth ... ok, maybe not classics but I love them. Also I am known for my miss piggy impression and being able to speak/sing along to the entirety of Muppet Treasure Island. I also love bad zombie films. The more violent and poorer the acting the better.
Music wise I'm a ridiculously huge fan of classic rock and pretty much worship at the feet of Led Zep, Queen and The Who. Though I do like a bit of Lady Gaga. I tend to disagree with people who think music was better "back in the day" because they forget that people like Led Zep weren't mainstream. They've never had a no.1 hit single, despite being one of the most beloved bands of all time. The fact is there was just as much rubbish back then as there is now! Though "you a stupid hoe" does kinda ruin my point.
What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
My hat that has a nest on top with eggs made of wool.
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
