"I'm for sure an introvert. I cannot be around people for too long, and after spending a lot of time with people, even my close friends, I need time to just chill out by myself. My shyness is much more situational. Sometimes I'm shy,…"
"I'm not really introverted, but I'm super shy. I don't like putting myself in front of strangers since I don't know them, I'm scared they'll make me feel small, ect. I don't feel the need to be around people 24/7,…"
"I am definetly an introvert, even around my closest friends. But, I can definetly be shy around people I don't know, especially authority figures. I'm worried about their opninions, because they don't know me yet."
"I think I'm both. I like to be by myself a lot of the time, and when I'm with other people I'm kind of nervous and awkward. When I'm with my close friends I'm not all that shy, although I still don't talk all that…"
"I think I am more shy than introverted. I have trouble talking to people I have just met, especially when they come across as confident. Then, once I get to know someone better (which can take quite a while) I am perfectly comfortable. At this…"
"Pudge did see it, though. He knew she was self-centred and annoying, and he felt guilty for thinking it after she was dead. He said he wished he didn't love her as much as he did. He never idolised her.
However, you seem to think everyone…"
"I understand where you're coming from, but I actually really adored Alaska. You're right; we do see her as sort of a manic pixie dream girl at first because we see her through Pudge's eyes and that's how he sees her. But while…"
"I agree that Alaska was a bitch and at first wondered why she had so many friends also. But after finishing the novel I began to understand why some people may aspire to be like her. She was an extremely passionate person who was not afraid to act…"
"I like Alaska because she wasn't perfect, even though Pudge thought she was in the beginning. She had a lot of flaws yet her good qualities outnumbered her bad. She was selfish and a bitch, yet she was deep, she cared about her…"
"She did seem really full of herself now that I think about it. I suspect that John Green tried to write her as a person that everyone thinks is great, but really isn't. For example, a lot of the characters, especially Pudge and the Colonel…"
"I understood Alaska, I have a friend quite like her. I see the opposite to what you are saying about her. A found her a compelling character, and know people who i am close to who act like her. So from a first-hand perspective, I loved her…"
"i remember how shit i felt when i got my first dislike.. especially because it was a cover of a song i LOVE. you just gotta not let it get to you and if you believe what you're putting out there is the best it can be and you are happy for the…"
Well first and foremost, I am feeling slightly inferior because I know that nerdfighters are made of awesome and so everybody will probably have a really awesome, funny "about me" and I look like a douche because I've spent this whole time talking about how great you all are and how much I suck which is the opposite of nerdfighter philosophy.
But anyway, I'm really bad at explaining myself so here goes...
Likes: dogs, biking (hobby not a sport), running (sport not a hobby), swimming (both), reading, writing, travel, the idea of traveling the world, reading and writing about traveling the world, laughing, fun, people who make me laugh, people who I make laugh, nerdfighters, strong coffee, Great Britain
Dislikes: algebra, cats, bad grammar, judgmental people, boredom, staying at home for too long, that weird itch between your ear and your jaw that's impossible to scratch, weak coffee, mouth noises people make when they're eating, inherently awkward situations like being on an elevator with someone you don't know or talking to another person while on the toilet
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
Books: I read a lot and so my favorite books change by the minute...whatever I write up here I will change my mind about in an instant
Movies: The Godfather (parts 1 and 2), Amelie, Pulp Fiction, Beauty and the Beast, Waynes World, Inglorious Basterds, the Big Lebowski, The Princess Bride (sidebar: this list reads like a schizophrenic's with too much time on their hands)
Music: The list is too long to encompass it all and I'll inevitably forget one and then I'll feel bad about leaving it behind and I'll expand the list until I exceed available space
