No, my hand isn't orange. I wish... not really. It was for the sake of reading it, I had to increase the contrast. And go over the writing on Paint :D I had a lot of fun doodling today. (5/18/08)

Your Result: Literature Nerd

Does sitting by a nice cozy fire, with a cup of hot tea/chocolate, and a book you can read for hours even when your eyes grow red and dry and you look sort of scary sitting there with your insomniac appearance? Then you fit this category perfectly! You love the power of the written word and it's eloquence; and you may like to read/write poetry or novels. You contribute to the smart people of today's society, however you can probably be overly-critical of works.

On Spanish Class and Not Much Else

I hate my Spanish class.

This is mostly because of the fact that I'm in the room with a bunch of dumbasses who have yet to recognize that the "h" is silent, even after several (pointless) years of study. It's not "Kay tay guhsta hahsair." Ugh ugh ugh. *Beats palm against forehead*

But I guess it's mostly my fault. Really, what else could I expect, signing up for Spanish 1.5? (They call it 1-0, but it's basically just 1.5. Just go with it.) I guess I was ready for… Continue

On Softball and Facebook

So today it rained. It rained a whole freaking lot. Almost the entire day was nonstop drizzle. Frankly, this pleased me immensely - mostly because softball practice was sure to be cancelled, and after 12+ full hours of practice in 4 days, I was and am a little burned out. And there was also the fact that I just like the rain itself, and the mood it puts me in. Which is even more lazy than I usually am - and that's almost humanly impossible.

But practice was not… Continue

High School and My Apparent Lack of Blogging Initiative

I'm fully aware of the span of time with no blogging. And I think the primary reason is that I don't have a whole lot to blog about. Dunno...but maybe the interesting bits of my life are lacking. Just a theory.

So today was the first day of tryouts for high school softball. Three hours of it, though I can't really complain, because it really wasn't that bad. Sometimes I find myself exaggerating the intensity, probably because (shame) my endurance is kind of a joke. Anyway. Looks… Continue

Uh...It's Saturday...

Punish me if you will, my mysterious blog-stalkers (haha). It appears that I'm about four days late on my blog updating.

In my defense, I've been incredibly busy. By busy, I mean busy softball-ing. All week. And all this weekend. Major tournament. Which is going rather well. We play in the championship tomorrow, and I'll be playing first base. I also hit a double to left today. *Happy dance*

Recently I received a "critique" on the first chapter of my book (which is posted… Continue

On (more) golf, All Stars, and tan lines

It was with regret this morning that I realized I had forgotten to blog yesterday. But I'm only a day late, so it's not too bad.

Yesterday I took a private golf lesson with my brother. The instructor, whose name was Steve, was really quite nice, even though he seemed to laugh too much. We did some cool things like filming our swings on different angles and comparing them to the swings of the pros. It pleased me to have Annika Sorenstam and me on the same screen. Very cool. We're… Continue

On golf, heat, and Slurpees

So here's the deal - I'm going to do an entry every Tuesday. Easy enough, yeah? I sure hope so.

Last night we went out and got me a new 3 wood, new bag, and new glove to equip me better for this summer (and thereby for high school golf next spring). To say the least, I'm super excited. Weird how new equipment can improve your attitude on the course ; ) Today I went to the range and hit a bucket. It was pretty nice.

Many people have expressed to me very clearly how much… Continue

Nerdfighter Blog

This is interesting, because I've never really blogged before. I'm really not very good at it, I suppose. (1) Too many random tangents for anyone to understand what I'm actually trying to say, and (2) my nature to completely forget about any sort of daily journal, diary (not my favorite word), et cetera for a lengthy span of time - at which point it becomes useless to try to catch up on anything. This will be my experiment :)

So...right now I'm working on the first draft of my...(I… Continue

what do I read?? What do I read?? Ponder... Ponder... Ponder... Fantasy [Twilight, Through a glass darkly, Jackline Wilson [guilty] Angels and Deamons]

But I've only just started reading - you see before Harry Potter I never read at all! ... but then ... I watched the first two films and decided I was going to read ... then I ventured out a bit ... At the moment I'm reading
Of Mice and Men for my English lessons and P.S I Love You by who-ever

I have no idea when they are doing the split but I don't care a long as they miss nothing out of the plot [or sub-plots]

What is your story about ... teh one you've written 66 pages on ... =D
I love reading but my genres are quite limited!

Where do you think they are going to put the split on HP7?

Yippee. Sorry I still haven't gotten around to reading your stuff yet; I have to do 63 freaking spanish sentences and conjugations and it's driving me MAD. I miss talking to you! Hope school is going fantastically and not driving you crazy yet (though if it hasn't, it will, trust me). Yay nerdfighters!

How are you?
Who is your favorite Harry Potter character?
At 8:41pm on August 31, 2008, Renata said…
Well, it was more like my sister was third in line and I kind of tagged along with her. And it wasn't so much of a line as it was a mob . . . but that's okay. I don't think I'd wait for a CD; only books or theatre. Maybe for Fountains of Wayne (my favorite band), if they were doing a signing, but even then I've already seen them in concert, so I'm pretty satisfied as far as they go. And it's totally cool to email me whatever you want me to read; it's probably easier that way.
At 2:12pm on August 20, 2008, Renata said…
Lmao. See, I've never done the line thing except for Harry Potter (though I was the third person to get a book from my local store the night 7 came out). I'd like to, but I haven't really had much of an opportunity. Since I can't drive and my parents hardly trust me to go out alone late at night, I'm kind of at a huge disadvantage. Can't wait til college man, then I can do whatever, whenever.

Don't get me wrong--I can't sing at ALL. I still love doing it, though. Who doesn't, when it really comes down to it? A capo is basically this clip that you put on a guitar to hold down a fret. It really just makes it a LOT easier to play guitar.

I second Hank releasing an album. I would most definitely buy it. And everyone loves mini golfing, and if they don't it's only because they don't play enough of it.
